A tiled display () for lighting or imaging includes a plurality of display tiles () arranged side by side. The tiled display () furthermore includes a seam hiding arrangement () formed of at least one light absorbing cloth or textile () in a seam () between two neighboring display tiles (). A corresponding method for assembling or adjusting a tiled display is described. The seam hiding arrangement may be used for blocking environmental light or stray light in the seams and optionally also for aligning or controlling the position of the display tiles.

The present invention provides arrangements for electroluminescent displayscomprising a packaged semiconductor light emitting elementthat has a light emitting display side. A heat sinkis disposed in the region of a rear side of the light-emitting elementopposite to the display side. Electrical connectionsfrom the light emitting elementpass through said heat sink. Drive circuitryfor the light emitting elementis connected thereto by the electrical connectionsand spaced apart from the heat sinkin such a manner that at least one cooling channelis defined between the heat sinkand the drive circuitryfor the passage in use of a cooling fluid.
