A method executed by a UE communicatively connected to a first 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network utilizing an advanced Radio Access Technology (RAT) is provided. The methods includes the following steps: receiving a message from the first 3GPP network, which indicates that the first 3GPP network supports IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) voice over Packet Switched (PS) sessions; and providing an indication that fallback of the UE to a second 3GPP network utilizing a legacy RAT is disabled to the first 3GPP network in response to the receiving of the message.

Methods for avoiding fallbacks of a user equipment (UE) to a legacy network

A communication device including various circuitry is provided. The first and second circuitry provide a first communication link to a remote device using a first access technology and a second communication link to the remote device using a second access technology, respectively. The third circuitry detects whether a video call has been handed over from the first communication link to the second communication link, or whether an OOS condition of the first or second communication link that occurred during the video call has ended. The fourth circuitry generates a first intra frame for the remote device or requests that the remote device generate a second intra frame for the communication device, when the video call has been handed over from the first communication link to the second communication link or when the OOS condition occurred during the video call has ended.

Adaptive device behavior in response to user interaction

The present invention relates to a method, transmitting device () and system for providing user plane traffic during a state of inactive user plane of a connection to an access network. A sequence of successive packet headers, adapted to continue a header sequence transmitted until the start of the state of inactive user plane is generated, and respective dummy portions are added to the sequence of successive packet headers. The generated stream of data packets is then transmitted from the transmitting device () via the unlicensed mobile access network during the state of inactive user plane so as to obtain a continuous stream of user data irrespective of the state of inactive user plane. Thereby, user plane traffic can also be provided during states of inactive user plane of the transmitting device (), e.g. holding states, call setup states or mute states, and real-time traffic requirements can be met.

Traffic generation during inactive user plane

This invention relates to a transmission of a media from a sending terminal to a receiving terminal. In a method for sending media from a sending terminal to a receiving terminal, at least part of the media is transmitted to the receiving terminal as a sequence of data packets and stored in the sending terminal, so that as a response to received data packets, notifications are returned from the receiving terminal, whereupon according to the notifications a presentation of the stored transmitted media is formed in the sending terminal.
