A wave power system for extracting energy from water waves, The wave power system includes a basic structure comprising at least one straight track section; at least one effector movably engaged with said basic structurer and adapted for being moved by water waves along said straight track section in a travelling length between two stop locations; and an energy harvesting arrangement arranged for harvesting energy from said relative movements between said energy collector and said basic structurer. The effector includes a backbone structure comprising at least one support shaft having a support shaft axis. At least one winglet comprising a compliant portion is rooted to the support shaft and is turnable between operation modes comprising an acceleration mode an intermediate mode and a deceleration mode relative to the support shaft axis.

Wave power system

The present invention relates to a wave power device for extracting energy from water waves. The waver power device comprise a reference structure and effectors moving relative to the reference structure. The effectors are connected to two hydraulic rams, symmetrically positioned around each effector. The hydraulic rams have an effective hydraulic area which is stepwise increased as the length of the hydraulic rams are compressed and stepwise increased as the length of the hydraulic rams are increased.

Wave power device

An unbonded flexible pipe for offshore transportation of fluids from a subsea facility. The unbonded flexible pipe has a length along a longitudinal center axis, and a first and a second end, and a first end fitting connected to the first end. The unbonded flexible pipe comprises from inside and out an electrically conductive carcass, an electrically insulating innermost sealing sheath, at least one electrically conductive armor layer comprising at least one helically wound electrically conductive wire and an electrically insulating outer sealing sheath. At least the electrically conductive layers are mechanically terminated in the first end fitting and the pipe comprises electrical connections arranged to apply a voltage over the electrically conductive layers which electrically conductive layers are electrically connected at a distance along the length of the unbonded flexible pipe from the first end fitting of the unbonded flexible pipe to provide an electric circuit.

Unbonded flexible pipe and an offshore system comprising an unbonded flexible pipe

The invention relates to an unbonded flexible pipe for subsea transportation of fluids. The pipe has a length and comprises a tubular inner sealing sheath defining a bore and an axis of the pipe. In a pipe length section it comprises a second sealing sheath surrounding the inner sealing sheath and forming an annulus between the inner sealing sheath and the second sealing sheath. The annulus provides a primary maintaining passage along the length of the pipe length section with a first and a second end. The pipe comprises at least one secondary maintaining passage along the length of the pipe with a first and a second end. The secondary maintaining passage is arranged with an axial distance which is larger than the axial distance of the inner sealing sheath.

The invention relates to an unbonded, flexible pipe having a length and comprising a tubular inner sealing sheath, at least one metal armor layer and an outer sealing sheath. The unbonded, flexible pipe comprises at least one insulated length section comprising a fluid permeable thermally insulating cover surrounding the outer sealing sheath in the insulated length section. The thermally insulating cover is further surrounded by a liquid permeable jacket, and preferably the thermally insulating cover is liquid permeable.

A needle magazine for holding a plurality of injection needles () is described. The needle magazine comprises a first opening adapted to receive the device fluid access portion () of a medical delivery device. Each needle () is selectively moveable from a respective storage position not aligned with said first opening into a needle mounting position aligned with said first opening. The needle magazine further comprises needle positioning means (). configured to alter the mutual position between a needle selected from said plurality of needles () relative to a neighbor needle when said selected needle moves from its storage position to the needle mounting position.

A mechanical injection device for injecting apportioned doses of a liquid drug. The injection device comprises a dose setting assembly comprising a cap and a cap receiving part, adapted to abut or engage with the cap when the cap is mounted on the injection device, and an injection assembly. Mounting and/or dismounting of the cap on/from the injection device causes the dose setting assembly to set a dose. Thereby a correct dose of drug is automatically set during a cap on/cap off cycle. Since such a cycle is normally performed between two subsequent injections, the number of steps required to be performed by the user is reduced.

For use in the manufacture of reinforcement layers for flexible pipes which are capable of absorbing compressive or tensile forces, and which are used for the transport of oil and gas, a thermoplastic material is applied to a strength-imparting layer. The strength-imparting layers are reeled on reels, and following unreeling they are laminated by application of heat and in direct continuation applied to the flexible pipe. The strength-imparting layer expediently consists of a polymer which is reinforced with at least 20% by volume of fibres. The thermoplastic material is of a reversible type, i.e. it may change from being relatively soft, but non-sticky by changes in temperature. The use of the method according to the invention allows manufacture of very strong reinforcements for flexible pipes which cannot be manufactured using a solid material, such as steel, since high performing bending forces are required in the shaping. In addition, a reinforcement element is provided which is capable of resisting instantaneous shock loads as the thermoplastic material is protective.

Method of manufacturing a reinforcement element for a flexible pipeline

A reinforced flexible pipeline (), which has an inner liner () whose inner side engages an inner reinforcement layer () that may be formed by a so-called carcass, and on whose outer side at least a strength-imparting reinforcement layer () is provided, has an additional barrier layer () which is arranged between the inner liner and the inner reinforcement layer. The additional barrier layer is thermally insulating and/or chemically protecting. The additional barrier layer may be formed as a tape () which is wound around the inner reinforcement layer, or may be composed of locking profiles () which are wound around the flexible pipeline in a helix. The additional barrier layer () may be made completely or partly of a polymer which may be thermoplastic, or is cross-linked completely or partly. Hereby, the pipe may be protected against temperatures above e.g. 13&#xb0; C. and may also be protected against attacks from methanol that contains water. By constructing the additional barrier layer of profiles it is additionally ensured that it can transfer great compressive forces to the inner reinforcement layer, without any risk of the liner being caused to float since it is supported evenly by the additional barrier layer.

Reinforced flexible pipeline having a thermal barrier

A flexible, armored pipe is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the flexible, armored pipe includes an impermeable liner, an outer armoring layer, and an inner armoring layer. The inner armoring layer includes one or more wound armoring elements, and the outer armoring layer is placed on the outside of the liner, and includes at least two layers of wound armoring elements which are completely or partly permeable for fluids. Further, the inner armoring layer is placed on the inside of the liner. In certain embodiments, the inner armoring is built up of wound profiles, K profiles, or profiles which include a rolled strip.

Armoured, flexible pipe

Flexible, armored pipes and methods of using the same are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the flexible, armored pipe includes an inner liner which is surrounded by a pressure armor. The inner liner may be built-up by joining together profiles that have a number of recesses. In one embodiment, the profiles are configured as K-profiles, which have recesses that are arranged in adjoining surfaces of the profile. When the profiles are brought together, the recesses form a cavity in which a locking element can be inserted, the function of which is to prevent displacement of the K-profiles at right-angles to the axial direction of the pipe when exposed to axial, compressive forces. The locking element can be I-shaped, circular or configured as a wire with a C-shaped cross-section. The locking element can also be made either of a rigid or an elastic, deformable material. With a C-shaped locking element, the whole of the cavity, which is formed by the recesses, is not filled out. A channel is thereby formed through which undesired fluids can be led away or through which cleaning fluids can be introduced.
