A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for a transmission configuration state for receiving downlink channel transmissions from a base station via a configurable surface. The transmission configuration state may indicate a quasi-co-location source associated with transmission via the configurable surface. The UE may receive a downlink channel transmission via the configurable surface based on the transmission configuration state and the quasi-co-location source. The UE may be capable of determining whether the transmission configuration state conflicts with the quasi-co-location source indicated by the transmission configuration state. The UE may transmit an indication to the base station that the configuration for the transmission configuration state conflicts with the quasi-co-location source. The indication may include a beam failure indication or a measurement report. The UE may fall back to a transmission configuration state previously activated at the UE.

A network entity may select a network energy saving mode from a set of network energy saving modes based on traffic conditions. After transmitting the message, the network entity may activate the network energy saving mode for one or more components based on the one or more time durations. Certain aspects relate to techniques for estimating and compensating for antenna array rotation of a wireless node. For example, the antenna array of the wireless node may rotate about one or more of an x-axis, a y-axis, and a z-axis, which may misalign the antenna array relative to another antenna array of another wireless node, causing degradation of communications between the two nodes. In some examples, the wireless node may obtain, from a first antenna array of the other wireless node via a second antenna array of the first wireless node, a first pilot signal and a second pilot signal via a first beam. In some examples, the first wireless node may perform a first alignment compensation based on a phase difference between the first pilot signal and the second pilot signal.

The UE may determine to refrain from communicating with the one or more RISs based on the barring indication. The first set of resources and the second set of resources may include non-overlapping frequency resources in a same time interval. The UE may receive a control message that indicates a pre-emption of the first set of resources or a cancellation of the second set of resources. Accordingly, the UE may determine that downlink transmissions in at least a portion of the first set of resources are pre-empted or that uplink transmissions in at least a portion of the second set of resources are cancelled based on the control message and the SBFD configuration of the cell.

A transmitted may use a closed loop precoder for line-of-sight (LOS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications that uses information such as distance feedback or LOS MIMO channel state feedback. A closed loop precoder may be associated with less overhead than a precoder based on full channel knowledge, such as an SVD precoder. A receiver may estimate a channel based on channel state information reference signals transmitted by the transmitter and calculate a spectral efficiency for one or more precoders of a set of precoders associated with the channel for a LOS MIMO mode. The receiver may send feedback to the transmitter that indicates a selected precoder of the set of LOS MIMO precoders based on the calculated spectral efficiencies. The transmitter may precode messages using the reported closed loop precoder.

Method and apparatus for codebook design for closed loop operation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a transmitter (e.g., a user equipment (UE) or base station) and receiver (e.g., a UE or base station) to transmit and receive data packets that are encoded according to an outer coding technique. The outer coding technique may provide for data bits and parity bits to be included in a single physical layer transmission. In some cases, data packets (e.g., data bits) may be segmented into multiple subpackets, and coding may be performed across different subpackets of different data packets (e.g., in a diagonal coding pattern). In some examples, each transmission in the physical layer may contain both data subpackets and parity subpackets, which may balance an input and an output load of a buffer (e.g., a layer two (L2) decoding buffer at the receiver) during decoding.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a first network entity of a first network of a first network operator. A method includes receiving, from a second network entity of a second network of a second network operator, frequency allocation information indicating a first allocation pattern identifying, for each of at least one cell, a corresponding frequency channel band of a frequency band spanning a plurality of frequency channel bands, wherein the first allocation pattern identifies a first frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands for a first cell of the at least one cell; and sending an indication to at least a first user equipment (UE) indicating to communicate in the first cell using a second frequency channel band of the plurality of frequency channel bands that is different than the first frequency channel band.

The precoder function may include a first portion, e.g., based on a channel measurement, and a second portion, e.g., based on data for transmission. The method includes selecting a first secure physical uplink channel and a second secure physical uplink channel for multiplexing based on the first secure physical uplink channel and second secure physical uplink channel overlapping, generating a secret key based on selecting the first secure physical uplink channel and the second secure physical uplink channel for multiplexing in accordance with the first secure physical uplink channel overlapping the second secure physical uplink channel in time, generating multiplexed information based on multiplexing the first secure physical uplink channel and the second secure physical uplink channel, and encrypting the multiplexed information based on the secret key.
