Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform, to a first base station and via a first radio frequency (RF) chain, at least a portion of a first uplink transmission associated with a first priority. The UE may receive, from the first base station or from a second base station and during the first uplink transmission, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) grant for a second uplink transmission associated with a second priority higher than the first priority. The UE may cancel a remaining portion of the first uplink transmission based at least in part on receiving the PDCCH grant for the second uplink transmission. The UE may perform, to the first base station or to the second base station and via a second RF chain, the second uplink transmission. Numerous other aspects are described.

Prioritizing uplink transmissions between subscriptions

A UE employing carrier aggregation receives an uplink grant from a wireless communication system base station for each of a plurality of Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) component carriers. The UE orders each PUSCH component carrier for transmission based at least in part on the uplink grant. The UE ranks logical channels for uplink transmission; and then builds transport blocks comprising data of higher ranked logical channels on higher ordered component carriers. The UE can then transmit the transport blocks across the component carriers to the base station.

Building transport blocks in wireless networks

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may initiate a first service, having a first priority during a time interval, associated with a first subscriber identification module (SIM), and a second service, having a second priority during the time interval, associated with a second SIM of the UE, the first priority having a higher priority than the second priority. The UE may identify a first type of communication associated with the second SIM. The UE may adjust, based at least in part on the first type of communication, at least one of the first priority or the second priority during the time interval. Techniques for dual active subscriber transmit sharing

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives, from a network entity, after transmitting at least a first repetition of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) transmission according to a first repetition factor, a dynamic indication of a second repetition factor to apply for transmitting the same PUCCH transmission. The UE determines an application time of the second repetition factor based on at least a timing of a last complete or partial transmission instance of the PUCCH transmission. The UE transmits, to the network entity, one or more additional repetitions of the PUCCH transmission based, at least in part, on the determined application time of the second repetition factor.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, using a first subscription of the UE, a first communication connection associated with a first service. The UE may establish, using a second subscription of the UE, a second communication connection associated with a second service. The UE may operate in a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual active (DSDA) mode based at least in part on establishing the first communication connection and establishing the second communication connection. Maintaining concurrent services in a dual active mode

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that uplink data is available for transmission at the UE prior to a scheduling request occasion. The UE may skip transmission of a scheduling request during the scheduling request occasion based on identifying that an uplink grant is pending. The UE may transmit at least a portion of the uplink data to a base station using a resource allocation indicated by the uplink grant. Alternatively, the UE may transmit the scheduling request to the base station during a first scheduling request occasion. The UE may initiate a retransmission timer based on transmitting the scheduling request. Accordingly, the UE may skip retransmission of the scheduling request during a second scheduling request occasion that is subsequent to the first scheduling request occasion based on the retransmission timer.

Techniques for skipping scheduling requests

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support techniques for a user equipment (UE) to select a scheduling request resource from multiple scheduling request resources allocated across different cells based on one or more conditions. The UE may receive control signaling that indicates a first scheduling request resource on a first cell and a second scheduling request resource on a second cell. The UE may generate a scheduling request applicable to the first and second scheduling request resources. The UE may select the first scheduling request resource for transmission of the scheduling request on the first cell based on one or more of a power mode of the UE, a signal metric associated with the first cell, or a numerology of the first cell. The UE may transmit the scheduling request via the first resource on the first cell based on the selecting.

Uplink control channel resource selection for scheduling request transmission

A UE may be configured to receive, from a base station, consecutive DCI messages including respective indicator values that are equal, each of the indicator values indicating an association with one of a new transmission or a retransmission. The UE may be further configured to remain in an awake state for at least a portion of a scheduled sleep state of a DRX cycle scheduled by the base station based on the respective indicator values being equal across the consecutive DCI messages. A base station may be configured to transmit, to a UE, a DCI message indicating a set of resources allocated to the UE for a transmission, and to transmit, to the UE, data to synchronize a DRX cycle with the UE based on an absence of the transmission from the set of resources allocated to the UE.

Recovery of discontinuous reception cycle synchronization

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform, to a first base station and via a first radio frequency (RF) chain associated with a first subscription, a first uplink transmission based at least in part on one or more of an uplink carrier aggregation capability of the UE or an uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) capability of the UE. The UE may perform, to the first base station or to a second base station, and via a second RF chain associated with a second subscription and configured to operate simultaneously with the first RF chain, a second uplink transmission based at least in part on one or more of the uplink carrier aggregation capability of the UE or the uplink MIMO capability of the UE. Simultaneous uplink transmissions associated with multiple subscriptions

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sending uplink control information. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an uplink grant for transmission on a plurality of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs), the plurality of PUSCHs being located on different component carriers (CCs); identifying one or more PUSCHs of the plurality of PUSCHs on which uplink control information (UCI) can be transmitted in a slot; assigning PUSCH data to the one or more identified PUSCHs on which the UCI can be transmitted before assigning PUSCH data to remaining PUSCHs of the plurality of PUSCHs; and transmitting the UCI and the PUSCH data in the slot on the assigned PUSCHs.

Uplink control information multiplexing with dynamic physical uplink shared channel skipping

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. The method may include receiving an UL grant for each CC of a plurality of CCs. In an aspect, each UL grant may include a number of transport blocks (TBs) assigned to each CC. The method may further include sorting CCs among the plurality of CCs as a function at least in part based on the number of TB for each of the CCs, and transmitting one or more packet data units (PDUs) using a subset of CCs of the plurality of CCs. In an aspect, the subset of CCs may be based at least in part on the sorting, and any CC of the plurality of CCs in which only medium access control (MAC) padding PDUs would be transmitted may not be included in the subset of CCs.

Method and apparatus for handling of uplink transmission skipping

Aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus and methods for operating the same that can improve out-of-sync and radio link failure handling in a W-CDMA network. A user equipment (UE) establishes a packet switched (PS) connection between the UE and a base station, wherein the PS connection includes a Fractional Dedicated Physical Channel (F-DPCH). The UE configures an in-sync threshold (Q) and an out-of-sync threshold (Q) for the F-DPCH, wherein values of the Qand Qare set higher than those of corresponding Qand Qof a Dedicated Physical Channel (DPCH). Aspects of the disclosure are directed to estimating a signal to interference ratio. A signal energy estimate corresponding to a received data transmission is generated. A noise to interference ratio estimate corresponding to the received data transmission is generated. A bias, corresponding to the noise to interference ratio estimate, is subtracted from the signal energy estimate. A signal to interference ratio estimate is determined corresponding to the signal energy estimate less the bias, and the noise to interference ratio estimate.
