Methods and systems are disclosed for sending a first parameter of a plurality of parameters to a third dedicated address of a plurality of addresses in memory, updating a parameter flag value in a first dedicated address in memory, updating a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) value for the parameter flag in a second dedicated address in memory, writing a first parameter value for the first parameter in the third dedicated address and updating the CRC value of the first parameter to a fourth dedicated address in memory, sending a second parameter to a fifth dedicated address of the plurality of addresses in memory, writing a second parameter value for the second parameter in the fifth dedicated address and updating the CRC value of the second parameter in a sixth dedicated address, and identifying a monitoring result between read values and expected values.

Parameterization process and system for a vehicle

Methods and systems are provided for controlling and diagnosing one or more clutches in a transmission. In one example, a method for operation of a vehicle system is provided that includes at a diagnostic controller or processing unit independent from a driveline controller or processing unit, respectively, determining an engagement state of a clutch in a transmission of the vehicle system, wherein the engagement state is selected from a group of three or more clutch engagement states. The method further includes identifying an unauthorized clutch state based on the engagement state of the clutch and a speed of the vehicle and responsive to the identification of the unauthorized clutch state, operating the vehicle system in a fault state.

Diagnostic and control method for clutches in a vehicle system

A clutch is operated by an actuating pressure pressure during an engaging process of the clutch. The actuating pressure is controlled over time such that predetermined characteristics for an engagement of said clutch are approximated by starting a process for changing a rotational speed of an output shaft of the torque converter for an adaptation of the rotational speed to an actual velocity of the vehicle during engagement of the clutch. An ideal signal for the rotational speed is determined which corresponds to an estimate for an engagement of the clutch with the predetermined characteristics. An actual signal of the rotational speed of the output shaft over time is measured during said process. Deviations are determined between the actual signal and the ideal signal. Finally the signal of the actuating pressure over time is automatically changed in order to reduce the deviations between the actual signal and the ideal signal if the deviations exceed a threshold.
