A sieve for use in an agricultural harvester includes a framework with a pair of opposed side members, and a first cross member extending between the side members at one end of the side members. A plurality of louvres extend between the pair of opposed side members. A pair of adjustment laths are respectively associated with and movable generally parallel to the side members, with each of the adjustment laths also being connected with the plurality of louvres. The sieve has an adjustment arrangement positioned below the plurality of louvres. The adjustment arrangement includes an actuator and a frame. One end of the actuator is connected to the first cross member and the other end of the actuator is connected to the frame. The frame has a pair of outboard ends with each of the outboard ends being connected to a respective one of the adjustment laths.

Adjustment arrangement for a sieve in an agricultural harvester

A sieve assembly for an agricultural harvester includes a cleaning shoe having a pair of opposed side rails, and a sieve which is removably installed within the cleaning shoe at a selected location against the side rails. The sieve has an upstream end defining a first angled surface, and a downstream end defining a second angled surface. The cleaning shoe includes a first engagement surface for engaging the first angled surface, and a pair of bolts, with each of the bolts being pivotally attached relative to a respective one of the side rails and engageable with a respective second angled surface. Each of the bolts has a longitudinal axis that is positioned at an acute angle (β) relative to the side rails of the cleaning shoe and biases the first angled surface into engagement with the first engagement surface when the bolts are tightened against a respective second angled surface.

A sieve for use in an agricultural harvester includes a framework with a pair of opposed side members. A plurality of overlapped louvres extend between the pair of opposed side members and are overlapped relative to each other. The opposed side members are each comprised of an extruded metal side member with a partially open elongate channel having a predefined cross section, and a polymeric strip having a mating cross section carried within the elongate channel.

A sieve for use in an agricultural harvester includes first and second adjustment laths arranged longitudinally adjacent to each other. The first and second adjustment laths are movable in fore and aft directions relative to an air flow direction (Y) through the sieve. The first adjustment lath is connected with a first set of louvres and the second adjustment lath is connected with a second set of louvres. An adjustment arrangement for adjusting an offset spacing (X) between first and second sets of louvres includes a rotatable elongate element with a longitudinally facing stepped shoulder and a stop surface. The elongate element is connected with each of the first and second adjustment laths. The stepped shoulder includes a plurality of stepped surfaces which are selectively engagable with the at least one stop surface. The stepped surfaces respectively define incremental offset spacings (X) between the first and second set of louvres.

A grain pan for a combine harvester comprises a plurality of grain pan members with a closed surface grain contacting surface adapted to engage the harvested crop. More than one of the grain pan members are grain pan members comprising a first connection element and a second connection element, the first connection element being adapted to effectuate a detachable connection with the second connection element of another grain pan body member and vice versa. The grain pan members are detachably connected to each other, one behind the other via their respective first and second connection elements, in a direction substantially parallel to the main direction of grain transportation.
