A brush segment, a brush element, a brush assembly, and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. The brush segment includes a center portion with inner and outer edges. The center portion also includes first and second side edges. A plurality of bristles extends outwardly from the outer edge. The inner edge includes an interlock arrangement. The side edges have an attachment arrangement for attaching adjacent segments. The brush element includes a center portion and inner and outer edges. A plurality of bristles extends outwardly from the outer edge. The inner edge includes an interlock arrangement for restraining rotation of adjacent elements assembled into a brush assembly. Two or more brush elements are secured together to form a rotary brush assembly.

The present invention provides a flexible abrasive article containing minimal releaseable amounts of physical and chemical contaminants that may be used to clean surfaces. The abrasive article is made of a foraminous substrate, at least one binder and abrasive particles. Methods of making such abrasive articles are also provided.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing abrasive articles

Abrasive foam articles and a method of manufacture of such articles are described. The articles of the invention comprise a flexible and resilient foam substrate having first and second major substrate surfaces, at least one of the surfaces having a plurality of open cells substantially across the substrate surface, the open cells having coatable surfaces defined by interconnected voids; and a plurality of abrasive particles adhered to said coatable surfaces of said open cells in a substantially uniform manner.

Abrasive foam article and method of making same

The present invention relates to an abrasive article for abrading material from a workpiece. In one embodiment, the abrasive article includes a back-up pad having first and second major surfaces. The first major surface includes a shaft adapted to connect the abrasive article to an abrading apparatus for movement relative thereto. Adjoining the second major surface are first and second resilient support portions, to which are attached first and second abrading members, respectively. When an operator applies a first force to the abrading apparatus, the first abrasive surface contacts and abrades the workpiece. When the operator applies a second force that is greater than the first force, both the first and the second abrasive surfaces contact and abrade the workpiece.
