The invention provides a medical radiographic apparatus constituted such that a swivel arm possessing an X-ray generator and an X-ray detection plane disposed to confront mutually with respect to the head of a patient is supported with a post through swivel means and a holding frame thereof in order to move the swivel arm about the head of the patient, the X-ray generator and X-ray detection plane are moved in mutually parallel reverse directions while synchronized, and irradiated X-rays are allowed to always enter the X-ray detection plane by passing through the same exposure region in the desired plane section in cooperation with the movement, the apparatus comprising:

Medical radiographic apparatus and patient's head fixing device

A planigraphic X-ray apparatus comprising a rotation mechanism for rotating a support member which supports an X-ray generator and an X-ray detection surface to rotate the X-ray generator and the X-ray detection surface around a subject, a position adjustment mechanism for setting the position of the rotation center of the support member rotated by the rotation mechanism and a linear movement means for moving the support member in the direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray generator, whereby the X-ray detection surface is driven in the direction opposite to the movement of the linear movement means and the X-ray generator is rotated toward the X-ray detection surface in synchronization with the movement of the linear movement means. The position adjustment mechanism and the rotation mechanism are used only to set the position and direction of the support member with respect to the subject, and planigraphic photographing is possible only by moving the support member using a linear movement means exclusively provided for the support member, thereby facilitating the positioning operation of the support member with respect to a given planigraphic plane, simplifying the control program and making the entire apparatus compact and inexpensive.

Planigraphic X-ray apparatus

A medical panoramic radiographing device comprises in combination a mode selector which is used to select the panoramic radiographing mode, jaw joint radiographing mode and/or otolaryngological region radiographing mode, an X-ray irradiation timing determination means which is used to determine the X-ray irradiation timing appropriate to the rotation positon of a rotary arm in the sselected radiographing mode, and an X-ray film movement pattern determinator which is used to determine movement patterns regarding the movement timing, speed, etc. of an X-ray film depending on the selected radiographing mode. With this device, the X-ray irradiation timing values or the X-ray film movement timing values suited for various radiographing modes are set automatically to ensure systematic selection of various radiographing modes.

Medical panoramic radiographing device

A dental panoramic/cephalo X-ray photographing device being characterized in that an X-ray generator can be horizontally rotated by an electric drive means so that the X-ray irradiation axis of the X-ray generator is directed to a panoramic photographing cassette or a cephalo photographing cassette. With this device, selection between the panoramic and cephalo photographing modes can be done far quicker and more accurately than devices of the prior art.

Dental panoramic/cephalo X-ray photographing device

This disclosure relates to a dental radiographic apparatus for photographing the entire jaws designed to control the rotation of a rotary arm such that the film surface of a film holder mounted at one end of the rotary arm may rotate and move substantially at equal speed substantially equidistantly along the dental arch and that the X-ray beams irradiated upon the film surface from an X-ray generator mounted at the other end of the arm may fall on the dental arch at any point thereof at right angles with the arch. The apparatus makes it possible to obtain a very clear tomographic picture of a curved plane of the entire jaws, the picture being free of a double image of the teeth, partial change in enlargement ratio of the image obtained, and partial difference in the shade of the image obtained.
