A DC-to-DC converter includes a first switching circuit, a second switching circuit, a transformer positioned between an AC side of the first switching circuit and an AC side of the second switching circuit, an inductance element positioned between the transformer and at least one of the AC side of the first switching circuit and the AC side of the second switching circuit, and control circuitry that operates the first switching circuit and the second switching circuit. The control circuitry sets a predetermined operation ratio of the first switching circuit and the second switching circuit to each other, and adjusts, based on the predetermined operation ratio, a first operation period of the first switching circuit and a second operation period of the second switching circuit.

DC-to-DC converter, power converter, power generation system, and method for DC-to-DC conversion

A power converter according to embodiments includes a boost circuit, a single-phase inverter, a current controller, and a power conversion controller. The current controller generates a voltage reference based on a difference between current output from the single-phase inverter and a current reference. The power conversion controller controls the single-phase inverter to generate a first portion of the AC voltage, and controls the boost circuit to generate a second portion of the AC voltage. The first portion corresponds to the voltage reference of which an absolute value is smaller than the voltage of the DC power supply. The second portion corresponds to the voltage reference of which an absolute value is greater than the voltage of the DC power supply.

Power converter, power generation system, control apparatus, and power conversion method

A motor controller includes a position speed estimation section and a control section. The position speed estimation section outputs a motor estimated position and a motor estimated speed based on a position estimated error, which is a difference between a motor position of a motor and the motor estimated position. An observer modifier outputs an observer modification value based on the position estimated error. A nonlinear compensator outputs a compensation torque based on the position estimated error. An operator outputs an operation value based on the observer modification value and the compensation torque. A motor model outputs the motor estimated position and the motor estimated speed based on the operation value. The control section outputs a torque command based on the motor estimated position, the motor estimated speed, and a position command to control the motor.

A control device for an alternating current motor according to embodiments includes a current distributor and a phase estimator. The current distributor divides a torque command by using a control phase and outputs a component that contributes to a mechanical output of the motor as a &#x3b4;-axis current command and a component that does not contribute to the mechanical output as a &#x3b3;-axis current command. The phase estimator computes a phase at which a &#x3b3;-axis component of an addition amount of the output of the current controller and a voltage drop amount of inductance of the motor becomes zero and outputs the computed phase as the control phase.

An alternating-current motor control apparatus includes an inverter unit, a current-command divider, a current controller, a torque-variation calculator, and a phase angle generator. The current-command divider is configured to divide a command current amplitude into command current components based on a phase-angle command value that is a sum of the phase angle and an alternating current signal. The torque-variation calculator is configured to calculate a motor electric power based on the command voltage and either the motor current or the command current components and to calculate a torque variation based on the motor electric power. An alternating-current motor control apparatus includes a stator frequency computing unit configured to compute a stator frequency of a motor magnetic flux; a torque error computing unit configured to compute a torque error by using the motor magnetic flux, an estimated current, and a motor current; and a speed estimator configured to estimate a speed of the alternating-current motor by using the stator frequency and the torque error. The speed estimator includes a proportional controller configured to reduce the torque error to zero, and an adaptive filter configured to eliminate a high-frequency component of the torque error.

The present invention provides an initial pole position estimating apparatus and method for an AC synchronous motor without using magnetic pole detector. The initial pole position estimating apparatus includes a thrust force or torque pattern generating portion for generating a thrust force or torque pattern, a pole position command generating portion for generating a pole position command, and a position detecting portion for detecting a position of the AC synchronous motor. The initial pole position estimating apparatus can estimate an initial pole position in a short time with high precision without depending on a fluctuation in a load. The initial pole position estimating apparatus further includes a pole position correcting portion () for correcting the pole position command and a thrust force or torque pattern correcting portion () for correcting the thrust force or torque pattern, and an initial pole position is estimated through a repetitive correction.

Initial pole position estimating apparatus and method for AC synchronous motor

A control device is provided for a synchronous motor, which drives the synchronous motor through a voltage operated PWM inverter and controls a torque and a speed of the motor, including a unit for causing a PWM carrier signal to have an arbitrary phase difference between two phases such UV, VW, or WU in three phases of U, V, and W, a unit for extracting a high frequency voltage and a high frequency current, which are thus generated from a detecting voltage or a command voltage and a detecting current, and a unit for estimating a position of a magnetic flux or position of a magnetic pole by using the high frequency voltage and the high frequency current which are excited.

Control device for synchronous motor

It is an object of the invention to provide a method which can detect a magnetic pole position easily and surely by using high-frequency currents such as harmonics of an inverter output and carrier frequency components. The invention provides a method of detecting a magnetic pole position of a motor and an apparatus for detecting a magnetic pole position in which, although high-frequency currents of carrier frequency components or the like are used, a special current detecting circuit is not required, and synchronization between the current detection timing and the position calculation can be easily attained, and also to provide an apparatus for controlling a motor using the same.

In the invention, a controlling apparatus for driving a motor (-) by a voltage source PWM inverter (-), and controlling a torque and speed, or torque, speed, and position of the motor has: means for switching over first means for producing an arbitrary phase difference in PWM carrier signals between respective two phases such as UV, VW, or WU of three or UVW phases, and second means for causing the phase difference between two phases such as V, VW, or WU of three or UVW phases to become zero; means for extracting high-frequency currents in a same frequency band as carrier signals generated by it, from estimated currents; and means (-) for estimating a magnetic pole position by using the extracted high-frequency currents.
