The present invention provides a cholesteric liquid crystal color filter including partition walls that are formed at pixel boundaries, produced by: forming a liquid crystal layer comprising a cholesteric liquid crystal composition including at least a liquid crystal compound, a photoreactive chiral agent and a polymerization initiator; and irradiating the liquid crystal layer with UV light having wavelengths to which the polymerization initiator is photosensitive through a photomask to form the partition walls at areas corresponding to the pixel boundaries while the liquid crystal layer is in an isotropic liquid state or in a cholesteric state not exhibiting selective reflection of light in the visible range. The invention also provides a process for producing a cholesteric liquid crystal color filter including openings that are formed at positions corresponding to at least contact holes and/or electrode lead-out portions.

A liquid droplet containing thermosetting or ultraviolet curing adhesive material is jetted out to either of a transfer member ( ) or an image receiving member ( ) so as to correspond to a shape of an image so that a latent image is formed. The transfer member ( ) and the image receiving member ( ) are brought into close contact with each other so that the latent image is interposed between the transfer member ( ) and the image receiving member ( ). Then, heat or ultraviolet rays are applied for curing the adhesive material so that a transfer material formed on the transfer member ( ) is fixed to the image receiving member ( ) through the cured adhesive material. Then, the transfer member ( ) and the image receiving member ( ) are separated from each other so that only the fixed transfer material is transferred to the image receiving member ( ). As a result, a required image is formed.

Image forming method and image forming apparatus

In a packaging body, an ink sheet or an image receiving sheet for laser heat transfer recording is wound onto a winding core and a flange is mounted to at least one end portion of the winding core and the packaging body is packaged into a packing material such as a carton box or the like. In the image forming method, the ink sheet and the image receiving sheet which are respectively wound up in rolls, are taken out from the packaging bodies, loaded onto rack(s), and then respectively pulled out from the rack(s). The ink sheet and the image receiving sheet are irradiated image-wise with a laser in a state in which they are superposed to thereby form an image.

Packaging body and image forming method for utilizing packaging body

In order to transfer a transfer recording layer in a transfer medium onto the surface of a receptor , a solution that lowers the transfer temperature or a sticky solution is applied image-wise to the surface of either the transfer recording layer or the receptor so as to form a latent image; then, whichever of the transfer medium or the receptor that have the latent image formed thereon or both are heated by a thermal drying means to evaporate at least a portion of the solvent contained in the formed latent image; subsequently, the transfer medium and the receptor are heated, with the surface of the transfer recording layer in intimate contact with that of the receptor , so that the transfer recording layer in areas corresponding to the ones where the latent image has been formed is transferred onto the receptor .

Image forming method and apparatus

An image forming method which widens the range of materials usable for an image forming method that employs an ink-jet technique and yields an image with high image quality and high homogeneity. An image pattern forming material containing an adhesive material is discharged onto a transfer layer surface of an image transfer material or onto an image receiving layer surface of an image receiving material, and the image pattern forming material is formed in an image pattern. The transfer layer surface of the image transfer material is closely contacted with the image receiving layer surface of the image receiving material. The image transfer material is peeled off from the image receiving material and portions of the transfer layer are stripped off in an image pattern from the image transfer material by the image pattern forming material. Thus, the image is formed on the image receiving material.

Image forming method

An image forming process including the steps of: (a) providing an image transfer material having a transfer recording layer formed from a heat transfer material and an image receiving sheet; (b) image-wisely applying a transferability promoting material to one of the heat transfer material and the image receiving sheet to form a latent image; and (c) applying pressure and heat to the image transfer material to form an image on the image receiving material from the latent image.

Image forming apparatus and process

An image forming method comprises the steps of applying a laser light imagewise and sequentially onto a laminate for image formation and separating the image receiving sheet from other materials of the laminate so as to keep on the image receiving sheet an imagewise transferred image formation layer comprising the thermoplastic resin and pigment. The laminate for image formation comprises, an image transfer sheet comprising, in order, a support sheet, a light-heat conversion layer containing a light-heat conversion material which absorbs a laser light and instantly produces a heat, a heat sensitive releasing layer containing a material which produces a gas upon receiving the heat produced in the light-heat conversion layer, and an image formation layer which comprises a thermoplastic resin and a pigment, and an image receiving sheet via a thermally fusible material in the form of a large number of dots or in the form of lines to divide an interface between the image formation layer and the image receiving sheet into different areas. The material of the heat sensitive releasing layer can be incorporated into the light-heat conversion layer.
