A relational expression calculator calculates a relational expression by performing approximation calculation for data strings each of which associates the value of a subject factor, which varies according to a user or an environment, with an input stress measurement value that is measured when a subject device is used. An input stress calculator calculates an input stress, which is input to the subject device, according to the relational expression and to index data on the subject factor. A failure rate calculator calculates a failure rate of the subject device according to the input stress and to a characteristic value distribution of the subject device.

An inverted two-wheeled vehicle includes: an inverted two-wheeled vehicle body; a pair of step plates, a rider putting both feet on the pair of step plates; a parallel link mechanism that links the pair of step plates so that the pair of step plates are inclined to the right or the left in unison; a handle that is supported by the inverted two-wheeled vehicle body; and a controller that controls a turning movement of the inverted two-wheeled vehicle according to an inclination of the pair of step plates in the horizontal direction. The handle is supported by the inverted two-wheeled vehicle body so that the handle does not work with the pair of step plates when the step plates are inclined to the right or the left.

An inverted vehicle and control method thereof are provided. The inverted vehicle may include a main body having two wheels rotatably supported by the main body and driven by a driver. A load distribution detector may detect a distribution of load received by the main body due to the rider's weight. A computer may compute a center position of the load's distribution. The inverted vehicle may also include an operating bar supported by the main body and operated so as to be inclined by the rider. A posture detector may be used to detect a posture of the operating bar. The inverted vehicle may further include a central processing unit that sets a target travel velocity on the basis of the center position and the posture of the operating bar. Furthermore, a drive controller may control the driver on the basis of the target travel velocity.

Inverted vehicle and control method thereof

An inverted vehicle according to the present invention includes: wheel; a base that holds the wheel; a step cover on which a rider rides, the step cover being connected to an upper portion of the base; an elastic element that is connected to the upper portion of the base and elastically supports the step cover; a detection portion that is provided between the base and the step cover and detects a pressing force applied from the step cover when the rider is riding on the inverted vehicle and the elastic element is elastically deformed to thereby depress the step cover; and a control portion that drives the wheel based on the detection of the pressing force by the detection portion. The step cover is connected to the base with a hinge.
