A method for producing a reaction product, with which the reaction product is obtained from a starting material through a particular organic synthesis reaction, the method includes (a) a step of setting a target wavelength to a peak wavelength of a reaction region involved in the organic synthesis reaction in an infrared absorption spectrum of the starting material; (b) a step of preparing an infrared heater that emits an infrared ray having a peak at the target wavelength from a structure constituted by a metal pattern, a dielectric layer, and a metal substrate stacked in this order from an outer side toward an inner side; and (c) a step of obtaining the reaction product by allowing the organic synthesis reaction to proceed while the infrared ray having a peak at the target wavelength is being applied to the starting material from the infrared heater.

Method for producing reaction product

An optical element includes an optical waveguide layer. The optical waveguide includes a periodic structure of grooves. The optical waveguide layer has a layer-thickness equal to or greater than 1.5 &#x3bc;m and is made of material selected from a group consisting of Ta2O5, Al2O3, LiNbO3, LiTaO3, AlN, GaN, SiC, and Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG). (D/0.5&#x39b;)&#x2265;2.5 is satisfied where D indicates the depth of groove; and &#x39b; indicates the pitch of the arranged grooves in the periodic structure. Optical element and method for manufacturing optical element

An organic compound refinement method for refining a specific organic compound which is a target compound from at least two types of organic compounds. The method includes separating the target compound from an organic compound other than the target compound while the at least two types of organic compounds are irradiated with light at an infrared absorption wavelength of a specific functional group that is not contained in the target compound but is contained in the organic compound other than the target compound, or separating the target compound from an organic compound other than the target compound while the at least two types of organic compounds are irradiated with light at an infrared absorption wavelength of a specific functional group that is contained in the target compound but is not contained in the organic compound other than the target compound.

Method for refining organic compound

An object of the disclosure of the present specification is to provide a method for detection of a target nucleic acid which allows construction of an effective detection system of a target nucleic acid. For this purpose, in the disclosure of the present specification, a first primer comprising an identification sequence complementary to a target sequence in a target nucleic acid and a tag addition sequence, and a second primer having a label are prepared. The first primer and the second primer are used for the target nucleic acid in a sample to amplify a chimeric DNA having a tag sequence and the label. The chimeric DNA is hybridized with a detection probe on a solid phase to obtain signal intensity information based on the label, and the target nucleic acid is detected based on the signal intensity information.

A novel nucleotide derivative, in case of existing as a member of a single-stranded sequence, undergoing a change in the fluorescent signal intendity depending on the corresponding base type in the partner strand with which the single-stranded sequence is hybridized, and which is a thymin/uracil derivative (1) emitting light most intensely when a confronting base in the partner strand with which the single-stranded nucleotide sequence is hybridized is adenine; a cytosine derivative (2) emitting light most intensely when the confronting base is guanine; an adenine derivative (3) emitting light most intensely when the confronting base is cytosine; a guanine derivative (4) emitting light most intensely when the confronting base is cytosine or thymine/uracil; and an adrnine derivative (5) emitting light most intensely when the confronting base is thymine/uracil/.
