The opening amount of the disk holder by the rise and fall of the holder plates, is fixed. The height of insertion of a disk into the disk holder is on an upper side between the highest holder plate and the lowest holder plate when the disk holder is open.

Disk device, disk-transporting device, and disk-loading device

A disk drive and drive unit driving mechanism includes a disk holder with a plurality of holder plates that can receive individual hold disk in a stacked configuration. Disk selectors can form a space above and below a desired disk to be played by contacting and raising and/or lowering the holder plates. A drive base can move a drive unit into the space that is formed between the holder plates. Disk selectors can be provided with cams of a web shaped configuration to co-act with the protrusion provided whereby the holder plates can be moved in a vertical direction.

Disk device and drive unit-driving mechanism

A disk holder springing-out prevention device is constituted by utilizing an existing loading block LB. A disk holderis restricted to an accommodated position within a magazine M by means of a stopperprovided on a holder guide rail. In general, the initial position of the loading block LB is adapted to be a raised/lowered position corresponding to the uppermost disk holderand the stopperis adapted to be superimposed in the vertical direction with an engagement projectionof a holder extracting memberwhen the holder extracting memberis in the initial position in the feed direction. In this way, positional restriction of the uppermost disk holderis effected by the holder extracting memberwhereas the stopperperforms positional restriction of the remaining disk holders. As a result, springing out of the disk holdersfrom the magazine M can be reliably prevented.

Disk holder pop-out preventing device

On a loading block LB, there are provided a wirehaving spring properties and two rollers (disk pressing sections)made of rubber that are capable of rotating about this wireas their rotary shaft. One end of the wireis coupled with a cam holeprovided in a large-diameter gear (rotary member)of the loading block LB through a linking plate (operating member)and a coupling pinprovided on this linking plate, so that the rollersare subjected to drive control between a pressing position and a release position by the operation of this cam hole. During disk feeding or clamping action, the disk D can be pressed against the disk holder DH by pressing the rollersagainst the disk D.

Disk holding device

A mode plate (5) which moves between a plurality of operational positions controls the respective positions of a head plate (2) and a link (8). The link (8) is turned to a forward and a reverse position to selectively operate pinch roller casings (12F, 12R) through a change link (4). This causes pinch rollers (13F, 13R) to be pressed against capstans (15F, 15R), respectively to thereby provide a forward or reverse play mode tape travel. By the turning of the link (8), an FF/REW plate (27) is moved to a forward and a reverse side through a detect link (9) and a spring (9a) such that FF/REW gears (25F, 25R) supported at the ends of an FF/REW plate (27) engage selectively with reel bases (11F, 11R) to thereby perform tape travel in an FF mode or a REW mode. A head plate (2) controls the positions of pinch roller casings (12F, 12R) and the FF/REW plate (27). At a stop mode position, the head plate (2) holds the pinch roller casings (12F, 12R) and FF/REW plate (27) at the release positions while holding the FF/REW plate (27) at the release position at a play mode position. The head plate (29) causes idler plates (26F, 26R) which support idler gears (24F, 24R) to engage pinch roller casings (12F, 12R) to operate the idler plates (26F, 26R) depending on the operation of the pinch roller casings (12F, 12R) and engages the idler gears (24F, 24R) selectively with reel bases (11F, 11R), respectively.
