A cutting tool that maintains a compact-sized main body without affecting the usability as well as the dust collecting operation is provided. In a dust cover mounted on a blade case, a dust collection route divided from a saw blade is formed, and an outlet is provided at the rear side of the blade case in the cutting direction. Moreover, the blade case includes a peripheral surface in which an inlet and an auxiliary inlet are provided for guiding air generated by the rotation of the saw blade into the dust collection route from the front side in the cutting direction. Further, a guiding route where a part of cooling air for the motor is introduced into the dust collection route by means of a duct is provided, whereby the cooling air as well as air guided from the inlet is introduced into the dust collection route.

Cutting tool

A circular saw has a table for placing a work to be cut thereon and has a saw unit slidably supported on the table by means of a slide mechanism. A slide stopper mechanism is adapted for fixing the saw unit in position in a sliding direction and has a slide stopper operation member disposed adjacent a front portion of the table on the side of an operator who operates the saw unit.

Circular saw

A miter saw includes a miter saw for placing a work thereon, a miter saw unit having a saw blade mounted thereon, and a support mechanism for supporting the miter saw unit for rightward and leftward pivotal movement relative to the base. The support mechanism includes a first member on one side of the base and the miter saw unit and a second member on the other side of the base and the miter saw unit. The first member and the second member are pivotable relative to each other about a pivotal axis. A stopper mechanism is disposed between the first member and the second member for holding the miter saw unit in a vertical position. The stopper mechanism includes a first pressing member mounted on the first member, a first biasing member for biasing the first pressing member, and an abutting surface provided on the second member for abutment of the first pressing member. The abutting surface has a first recess formed therein. The pressing member is brought to automatically engage the first recess by the biasing force of the first biasing member when the miter saw unit is pivoted from a laterally pivoted position to the vertical position.

Miter saw

A slide-type circular saw includes a turntable rotatable relative to a base, and includes a saw unit having a saw blade mounted thereon. The saw unit is slidably movable relative to the turntable by a plurality of slide bars extending in parallel with each other. A slide bar mounting mechanism includes a first mounting mechanism for fixedly mounting the saw unit to the slide bars and a second mounting mechanism for slidably mounting the slide bars on the turntable. One of the first and second mounting mechanisms is non-adjustable with respect to the positional relationship between the slide bars, while the other is adjustable with respect to the positional relationship between the slide bars.
