A waterproof sound-transmitting membrane () includes a sound-transmitting region () having a porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane (). The porous PTFE membrane () has a through-thickness air permeability of 2 cm/cm/s or more. Thus, it is possible to provide a waterproof sound-transmitting membrane that is suitable for reducing crackling noise while ensuring waterproofness required for at least daily use. The porous PTFE membrane () has a water entry pressure of 3 kPa or more, preferably 20 kPa or more and 50 kPa or less. The waterproof sound-transmitting membrane () may include an edge region () having an adhesive layer ().

Waterproof sound-transmitting membrane and waterproof sound-transmitting structure using the same

Provided is a waterproof ventilation structure including: a housing () including an inner space () and an opening portion (); a waterproof gas-permeable membrane () placed to cover the opening portion (); an electroacoustic transducing part () placed in the inner space (); a first double-faced adhesive tape () directly joining an inner surface of the housing () and an edge portion of one surface of the waterproof gas-permeable membrane () together; and a second double-faced adhesive tape () directly joining an edge portion of the other surface of the waterproof gas-permeable membrane () and the part () together. The waterproof gas-permeable membrane () has a water entry pressure of 50 kPa or more, and the first double-faced adhesive tape () includes a base including a foam material. The total thickness of the waterproof gas-permeable membrane () and the first and second double-faced adhesive tapes () and (), as measured in an uncompressed state, is preferably larger than a distance L between the inner surface of the housing () and the part () so that the foam material placed in the waterproof ventilation structure is compressed in a thickness direction.

The present invention provides a sound-transmitting membrane for a microphone, to be disposed to a sound-collecting opening of the microphone so as to allow sound to transmit through the membrane while preventing a foreign matter from entering into the microphone through the opening. This membrane for a microphone prevents the entry of a foreign matter, such as fine dust and water vapor, that is difficult for conventional sound-transmitting membranes to block, and ensures the microphone performance. This membrane for a microphone is composed of a nonporous film or a multilayer membrane including a nonporous film, has a surface density of 30 g/mor less, and has a sound transmission loss of less than 3 dB in a frequency range of 300 to 4000 Hz.

The present invention provides a resin porous membrane with an adhesive layer that exhibits excellent bonding precision and can be bonded to an adherend while maintaining the gas permeability of the porous membrane even when the porous membrane is small, and a method for producing the resin porous membrane with the adhesive layer. The ventilation member of the present invention includes a waterproof gas permeable membrane (), and a support body () having a through hole (). One opening of the through hole () is closed by the gas permeable membrane (). The support body () includes, at an edge of the opening closed by the gas permeable membrane (), a first region and a second region facing each other with the opening located therebetween. A first angled protrusion () in which a peak and a trough are arranged alternately along the edge of the opening is provided in the first region, and a second angled protrusion () in which a peak and a trough are arranged alternately along the edge of the opening is provided in the second region.
