A generator motor connected to an output shaft of an engine mounted in a work machine includes a terminal box that houses a connector for connecting an exterior electric-power-supplying cable to the generator motor. While the terminal box is provided to the generator motor, the connector is provided facing downward and the electric-power-supplying cable is connectable to the connector from underneath the connector.

A generator motor connected to an output shaft of an engine mounted in a work machine includes a terminal box that houses a plurality of connectors for connecting an exterior electric-power-supplying cable to the generator motor. While the terminal box is provided to the generator motor, the plurality of connectors are juxtaposed in a direction intersecting an orthogonal plane that is orthogonal to a rotation shaft of the generator motor.

A generator motor connected to an output shaft of an engine mounted in a work machine includes a terminal box for connecting an exterior electric-power-supplying cable to the generator motor. The terminal box includes a casing having an inner space in communication with an inside of a housing of the generator motor. A casing of the terminal box is detachably provided to the housing of the generator motor.

A construction machine includes an engine, a hydraulic pump driven by drive force of the engine, a generator motor, and a dipstick tube. The generator motor is disposed between the engine and the hydraulic pump. The generator motor has a rotary shaft connected to an input shaft of the hydraulic pump and to an output shaft of the engine and an oil pan disposed in a lower part of a holding space formed inside a housing. The dipstick tube has a connector provided at a location that communicates with the oil pan of the generator motor, and a dipstick opening disposed above the generator motor, for checking a level of oil in the oil pan.

A cooling structure of a generator motor includes: a first passage provided to an end side member placed at one end of a housing of a generator motor, the first passage extending toward a rotation center axis of an input/output shaft housed in the housing, the first passage opening to a side of the input/output shaft, and the first passage including a restriction section halfway through; and a second passage provided to the end side member, branching off from the first passage at a position on an outer side in a radial direction of the input/output shaft than the restriction section and subsequently extending toward a rotor attached to an outside of the input/output shaft, and the second passage opening to a side of the rotor.

A cooling structure of a generator motor includes: a rotor holder; a rotor core; a first blade; and a second blade, wherein the second blade includes a recessed coolant holding portion, provided on an outer circumference of the second blade on an opposite side to the rotor core and opening inward in the radial direction, for collecting a coolant, and a drain hole radially penetrating an outer circumference of the coolant holding portion for draining the coolant collected in the coolant holding portion.
