Disclosed herein is a visible light communication system, in which the visible light emitted from the light-emitting element is superposed with a signal in order to accomplish communication. The system has a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter has a modulation circuit whose the demodulating mode can be changed during the communication in accordance with the state of the visible light. The receiver receives the visible light emitted from the transmitter and has a demodulation circuit that demodulates the modulated signal received from the transmitter.

Apparatus for transmitting and receiving a signal in a visible light communication system

To provide an entry control system as well as an entry control method allowing for an easy entry of user, permitting a restriction to persons who have a legitimate right to enter a facility, an illuminating device () emits a modulated visible light signalmodulated by use of a door ID code into a preset illumination range, the modulated visible light signalfrom the illuminating device () is received by a mobile terminal () portable by the user, where it is demodulated for wireless signal transmission, and the door ID code transmitted from the mobile terminal () is received by an authentication device (), which judges whether or not the door ID code is legitimate, and generates an unlock command when the door ID code is judged to be legitimate, and a door () for a facility controlled of entry receives the unlock command from the authentication device (), whereby it is unlocked.

For a control apparatus to be boundary scan testable even when running, including processor cores in an operator to be capable of self-repairing a troubling part, an operator () has processor cores () connected to a boundary scan bus (), and adapted to mutually diagnose opponent processor cores for troubles, by boundary scan testing each other in a time-dividing manner.
