A building integrity assessment system includes: an earthquake detector including: a building bottom sensor at a bottom of a building and that detects acceleration and an earthquake early-warning receiver that receives an earthquake early warning; a cloud computer; and sensors disposed at a plurality of positions in the building and that measures an influence of an earthquake on the building at each of the positions and wirelessly transmits measurement results to the cloud computer. The cloud computer estimates and evaluates the integrity of the building based on the measurement results. In response to the building bottom sensor detecting preliminary tremors or the earthquake early-warning receiver receiving the earthquake early warning, the plurality of sensors measures the influence of the earthquake on the building from a time before a major motion arrives at the building to a time after the arrival.

Building integrity assessment system

When a glass melt of an optical glass having a refractive index (n ) of at least 1.7 and an Abbe number (&ngr; ) of 28 to 41 is flowed down from a flow pipe made of Pt or a Pt alloy to form glass gobs continuously, there is caused a problem that the glass gobs have striae or that the weight variability among the glass gobs is large, and the problem can be overcome by the use of an optical glass comprising silicon oxide and boron oxide, the ratio of a content of the silicon oxide to a content of the boron oxide being greater than 0.78, the optical glass having a contact angle of at least 40&deg; to Pt or a Pt alloy at a predetermined temperature equivalent to, or higher than, its liquidus temperature or in a predetermined temperature range whose lower limit is equivalent to, or higher than, the liquidus temperature and having a sag temperature T of 580&deg; C. or lower.

Optical glass and optical product

An optical glass having properties of a high refractive index and low dispersion and having both a low sag temperature T,and a low liquidus temperature L.T., is provided. A rotation control apparatus provides servo control over a recording medium, which allows information signals to be read thereto or written therefrom. The apparatus is capable of effecting proper recording or reproduction even immediately after switching of modes. A motor imparts rotary motion to a recording medium; a pulse generator is arranged to detect the rotation of the recording medium and then to output a pulse of frequency proportional to the rotational speed of the recording medium; a servo circuit receives a reference pulse and the pulse output from the pulse generator and then controls the motor to rotate so that the phase difference between the reference pulse and the pulse output from the pulse generator is constant. An internal vertical synchronizing signal generating circuit having a reset terminal, is arranged to supply an internal vertical synchronizing signal of predetermined frequency to the servo circuit as the reference pulse if no reset signal is supplied to the reset terminal, or, if a reset signal is supplied to the reset terminal, to cause the phase of the internal vertical synchronizing signal to coincide with the phase of the reset signal. An external vertical synchronizing signal separating circuit is arranged to receive a composite video signal and to separate an external vertical synchronizing signal from the composite video signal, thereby outputting the external vertical synchronizing signal. A reset-signal supplier supplies the separated external vertical synchronizing signal to the reset terminal of the internal-vertical-synchronizing-signal generating circuit.

Rotation control apparatus for use with recording medium

A magnetic recorder and regenerator has a luminate signal input terminal for receiving a luminance signal, a line-sequential signal input terminal for receiving a line sequential signal consisting of alternately line-sequenced color differential signals having a d.c. level difference, and a detecting circuit for detecting the d.c. level difference in the line-sequential signal which is provided from the regenerator system of one magnetic recorder and regenerator used for signal regeneration and which is to be transferred, before being rearranged into its component color differential signals, to the recorder system of another magnetic recorder and regenerator used for signal recording. A gain-controlled amplifier is responsive to the output from the detecting circuit for adjusting the d.c. level difference in the line-sequential signal to a prescribed value, whereby it can suppress fluctuations in the line-sequential signal level during a dubbing process, avoiding picture quality deterioration. The magnetic recorder and regenerator also has a clamping circuit for clamping the d.c. level of the line-sequential signal and a color differential signal discriminating circuit for discriminating between the R-Y and B-Y components of the line-sequential signal in synchronism with a horizontal synchronizing signal, and for providing a clamp timing signal to the clamping circuit to clamp the line-sequential signal corresponding to either one of the R-Y and B-Y components.

Magnetic recorder and regenerator

A device capable of reproducing recording information without error and which eliminates a deterioration in a reproduced image quality during a dubbing operation. The still image reproducing device has a change-over switch that is capable of selectively delivering a demodulated image signal obtained through delaying an image signal by a time corresponding to 0.5 H. A control circuit outputs a switching control signal upon completion of one full rotation of a recording medium. A decoder decodes the demodulated recording information in response to a decoder control circuit, enabling the decoder to operate when the change-over switch is delivering the demodulated composite image signal. In the still image recording device, the composite image signal is FM demodulated. The demodulated composite image signal is multiplexed with a signal obtained by encoding and modulating the recording information. The multiplexed signal is supplied to a recording head through the gate circuit. When the recording trigger signal is received, the gate circuit is opened if the decoder is not supplied with the enable signal at the moment when the rotation pulse is received. When the next rotation pulse is received, the gate circuit is closed if the enable signal is being received by the decoder.

Eliminating signal quality deteriorations in a reproduced still image

A dubbing apparatus for dubbing signals in which recording information, such as a distinction between the field picture and the frame picture, the track number, the date of shooting, etc. is multiplexed with compound video signals of a still picture. Revising data is inputted for instructing the revision of recording information. A decoder decodes the recording information to be dubbed. New recording information is prepared on the basis of the revising data and the decoded recording information. An encoder encodes the new recording information, while a modulating circuit modulates the encoded recorded information. A frequency modulation circuit frequency modulates a video signal that is to be dubbed, while a synthesizing circuit multiplexes the modulated recording information and the video signal. The multiplexed signal is recorded on a recording medium, so that it is possible to revise recording information at the time of dubbing.

Apparatus for minimizing signal degradation during the copying of video

A device for use in an apparatus for demodulating the signal reproduced from a recording medium in a still video camera or the like in which the phase of the demodulated signal is always accurately detected. Horizontal periods in which the respective line-sequential color difference signals B-Y and R-Y are present are discriminated, and a timer is operated during periods when the B-Y signal is present. Data is read from the reproduced modulated signal at predetermined points within a half cycle of the waveform of the signal as designated by outputs of the timer.
