A touch panel includes a transparent plate, an upper substrate having an upper surface situated on a lower surface of the transparent plate and stacked on the transparent plate in a downward direction, an upper conductive layer provided between the lower surface of the transparent plate and the lower surface of the upper substrate, a lower substrate having an upper surface situated on the lower surface of the upper substrate and stacked on the upper substrate in the downward direction, and a lower conductive layer provided between the lower surface of the upper substrate and the upper surface of the lower substrate and facing the upper conductive layer across the upper substrate. The upper surface of the transparent plate has a dome shape projecting upward on a cross section in a first direction perpendicular to the downward direction and on a cross section in a second direction perpendicular to the downward direction and the first direction. The lower surface of the transparent plate is concave upward on the cross section in the first direction is straight on the cross section in the second direction. The touch panel can be easily manufactured and reliably operated.

Touch panel

An input apparatus includes: a display plate having a plurality of display sections; an electrostatic touch panel provided at a lower face of the display plate; an operation body on which the display plate and the electrostatic touch panel are placed; a plurality of light-emitting elements for illuminating the plurality of display sections of the display plate from a lower side of the display plate through the electrostatic touch panel; and a control section that is electrically connected to the electrostatic touch panel and the plurality of light-emitting elements, and that controls light emission of the plurality of light-emitting elements in accordance with touch operation to the electrostatic touch panel.

Input apparatus

A switch device includes a box-shaped case, a harness portion, and a fixing member. The harness portion is connected to a switch contact point and includes a plurality of lead lines extending out of the case. The case includes a holding body and a guide portion. The holding body includes a fixing portion protruding from an outer face of the case and provided on a tip side, and a through-hole provided under the fixing portion. The guide portion is opposed to the through-hole and formed in a substantially concave curve shape. The guide portion is formed such that an end portion further from the through-hole is positioned to be above an end portion closer to the through-hole. The fixing member extends through the through-hole and fixes the harness portion to the holding body by winding the harness portion and the fixing portion together.

Switch device

A device for detecting an absolute rotation angle of multiple rotation with a high accuracy and high resolution by using a target connected to the rotation axis and having an outer circumferential surface to which magnetic poles of alternate polarities are magnetized. The device includes: a first rotor holding a target connected to an input axis and having an outer circumferential surface to which magnetic poles of alternate polarities are magnetized at an identical interval and having a multi-rotatable gear; a second rotor connected to the gear of the first rotor, rotated at a low speed by the first rotor, and having a magnet at the center portion; a first detection unit and a second detection unit for detecting the rotation angles of them. With a simple configuration, it is possible to detect an absolution rotation angle with a high accuracy and a high resolution.

Rotation angle detection device and rotation angle correction method

A conductive metal wiring pattern 1 is printed and wired on a flexible insulation film 2, and has connection terminals 1a whose surfaces are treated into a solderable state by plating or the like. An overriding flexible insulation film 3 is formed such that it covers a portion excluding the connection terminals 1a. The connection terminals 1a are easily formed by printing, bonding and cutting out portions of the insulation film 2 between the connection terminals by a press to separate the connection terminal.

Method of manufacturing connection terminals of flexible wiring pattern

A panel switch for use in electronic apparatus and a method for making same, the panel switch employing a diaphragm whereby the operator turns on the switch with a feeling of security. To locate a diaphragm, a sheet having an adhesive layer on one side is used instead of a conventional spacer, and the diaphragm is secured to an insulated substrate with the sheet. The non-use of the spacer saves cost and labor, thereby producing panel switches more economically.

Panel switch and method for making same

A composite flexible substrate (100) is constituted with an inside flexible substrate (1) and an outside flexible substrate (2) having a zigzag-shaped part (Z.sub.1), and the outside flexible substrate (2) is superposed on the inside flexible substrate (1) and is fixed at both end parts of the inside flexible substrate (1) and the outside flexible substrate (2). When the inside flexible substrate (1) is longitudinally bent, the outside flexible substrate (2) is deformed due to stretching of the zigzag-shaped part (Z.sub.1) without irregularly deforming the inside flexible substrate.

Composite flexible substrate

A method for electrically connecting an upper wiring with a lower wiring consists of the steps of arranging the upper wiring mixed with thermo-softening material on an upper insulating sheet, arranging the lower wiring mixed with thermo-softening material on a lower insulating sheet, putting the upper insulating sheet on the lower insulating sheet to bring the upper wiring into contact with the lower wiring, and providing ultrasonic vibration to the upper and lower wirings and the upper insulating sheet while pushing the upper insulating sheet toward the lower insulating sheet. In these steps, the upper and lower wirings and the upper insulating sheet are heated and melted because friction heat is generated by the ultrasonic vibration. Thereafter, the upper insulating sheet is pushed into the upper and lower wirings while pushing these wirings aside and is boded with the lower insulating sheet. Also, the upper wiring is bonded with the lower wiring so that these wirings are electrically connected.

Method for connecting a wiring arranged on a sheet with another wiring

A push switch is capable of performing a first switching operation and subsequently a second switching operation when a pressing force is applied to the switch. The push switch includes (a) an insulating membrane having at least one dome with at least a portion thereof overlaid by or serving as an inner conductor and at least a portion of its outer periphery overlaid by or serving as an outer conductor, (b) an insulating substrate having thereupon an inner pole contact disposed at a position opposing to the inner conductor and an outer pole contact disposed at a position opposing to the outer conductor, respectively, and (c) a spacer placed between the insulating membrane and the insulating substrate for spacing the conductor apart from the pole contacts during the time when no pressing force is applied to the switch. When a light pressing force is applied to the dome, the outer conductor will first come in contact with the outer pole contact causing a first switching operation to take place, and subsequently with a further pressing, the inner conductor will come in contact with the inner contact causing a second switching operation to take place.

Push button switch assembly including single or plural sequentially

Anisotropic conductive material is employed instead of solder for connecting between the terminal of a component and a printed circuit board. In addition to the printed circuit board, a printed circuit sheet is provided and the terminal of the component is sandwiched between both anisotropic materials on the printed circuit board and beneath the printed circuit sheet. From both outside surfaces of the printed circuit board and the sheet, heat and pressure are simultaneously applied to the terminal part (i.e. thermocompression bonding).
