A control device is configured to control an operation of a control target. The control device is configured to monitor an abnormality. The control device is configured to store abnormality information according to an abnormality monitor result. When the abnormality of a monitor target is detected, an abnormality treatment confirmation determination related to a transition determination to an abnormality treatment due to an occurrence of the abnormality is different from an abnormality storage confirmation determination that causes the control device to store, as the abnormality information, the abnormality of the monitor target.

Control device

A rotary electric machine control device is configured to control driving of a rotary electric machine having a motor winding. The rotary electric machine control device includes a plurality of inverter units and a plurality of control units. Each of the plurality of inverter units is configured to switch current supply to the motor winding. The plurality of control units are configured to communicate with each other. Each of the plurality of control units is configured control a corresponding inverter, select a drive mode, monitor an abnormality, and store abnormality information according to an abnormality monitor result.

Rotary electric machine control device

A current detection unit includes current detection elements provided to phases on a high potential side of an upper arm element or on a low potential side of a lower arm element. A detection target element is the upper arm element or the lower arm element to which the current detection elements are provided. A target duty is a duty ratio of the detection target element. The control unit includes a current acquisition unit, an energization control unit, and an abnormality determination unit. The current acquisition unit acquires a current detection value from the current detection unit. The abnormality determination unit performs an abnormality determination based on the current detection value. The abnormality determination unit varies a determination threshold, which is used for the abnormality determination based on the current detection value, according to the target duty.

Control circuits control inverter circuits provided in correspondence to the control circuits by a drive mode selected from a plurality of drive modes. A cooperative drive mode is for controlling a current supply to motor windings by a plurality of systems by using a value acquired from the other control circuit via communication. An independent drive mode is for controlling the current supply to the motor windings by the plurality of systems without using the value acquired from the other control circuit. A one-system drive mode is for controlling the current supply to the motor winding by one system without using the value acquired from the other control circuit. The control circuits set the drive mode to a cooperative drive mode when inter-computer communication is normal. The control circuits set the drive mode to an independent drive mode or a one-system drive mode thereby differentiating an output characteristic of a motor from that in the cooperative drive mode.

An ECU includes a plurality of control circuits which is configured to control driving of a motor and communicate each other. The control circuits are configured to switch control modes including an ADS mode for controlling the driving of the motor based on a steering angle command &#x3b8;s* and a torque control mode for controlling the driving of the motor based on a torque command value. A first control circuit, which calculates an EPS current command value shared by the plurality of control circuits in an EPS mode, and a second control circuit, which calculates an ADS current command value shared by the plurality of control units in an ADS mode, are different. This makes it possible to reduce a calculation load as compared with a case where the same control circuit serves as an EPS master and an ADS master.

Rotary electric machine control device and method

An ECU including a control circuit is provided to control driving of a motor, which outputs at least a part of torque required for steering a vehicle. The control circuit is configured to switch control modes including an ADS mode for controlling driving of the motor based on an angle command value and an EPS mode for controlling the driving of the motor based on a basic assist command value which is a torque command value. The control circuit is configured to change the calculation cycle period of at least a part of the calculations related to the driving control of the motor according to the selected control mode. Accordingly, an appropriate calculation cycle period can be set for each calculation related to the driving control of the motor according to the control mode, and the calculation load can be reduced.

A rotating electric machine control device has an electronic control unit, or an ECU that controls driving of a motor having motor windings, and includes mutually-communicable plural control units. The control unit includes a basic instruction calculation unit, a field-weakening calculation unit, and a current control calculation unit and a PWM (pulse width modulation) output unit. The current control calculation unit and the PWM output unit generate a PWM signal based on d-axis current instruction values and q-axis current instruction values that are calculated based on basic current instruction values and field-weakening d-axis current instruction value. At least a part of the instruction values used for generation of the PWM signal is shared by the plural control units.

Rotating electric machine control device

A motor control device includes at least one power converter. The at least one power converter is connected between a DC power supply and a motor. The at least one power converter converts a DC electric power into a multi-phase AC electric power by operating a plurality of switching elements and supplies the multi-phase AC electric power to the motor. The motor control device calculates a command value for operating the at least one power converter to control electrical conduction to the motor. The motor control device determines an overcurrent fault when a value of a current flowing through the at least one power converter or a motor winding of the motor exceeds an overcurrent threshold value. The motor control device estimates or detects a power supply current that is a direct current flowing between the DC power supply and the at least one power converter.

Motor control device

A rotary electric machine control device is provided to control a motor having motor winding sets and includes a plurality of inverter circuits and a plurality of control circuits capable of mutual communication. The inverter circuits switch over the current supply to the motor winding sets. The control circuits include driver control sections, which control the inverter circuits provided correspondingly, and abnormality monitor sections, which monitor the abnormality. The abnormality monitor sections monitor the abnormality of the own system and the other system based on the plurality of abnormality information. The driver control sections change a control mode according to the abnormal state. It is thus possible to control the driving of the motor appropriately based on the abnormality state.

Rotary electric machine control device and electric power steering apparatus using the same

In a control device, control circuit units are connected to separate circuit power sources and to separate grounds. Ground monitor circuits respectively have a first resistor with one end connected to a voltage source, a second resistor with one end connected to an input terminal of a corresponding control circuit unit, and a capacitor. Among the one end of the first resistor, an other end of the first resistor, and the other end of the second resistor, at least one is connected to the subject system, and at least one is connected to an other system, and the control circuit unit monitors a ground abnormality of the other system based on a terminal voltage of the input terminal to which the second resistor is connected.

A sensor device includes a plurality of sensor elements and an output circuit in one sensor part, and a correction value calculator in an ECU, which obtains output signals from the sensor part and calculates an offset correction value based on a plurality of signal values that correspond to a detection value when a calculability condition is satisfied. The ECU also includes a control calculator that performs a calculation based on the corrected signal values that have been corrected by the offset correction value. Therefore, the offset correction value is calculated in view of an aging and an accuracy variation of the components used in the sensor device. In such manner, the detection value is appropriately corrected for the calculation.

Sensor device

If abnormalities of the sensor part are detected, the power-source control section temporarily stops the electric power supply from the sensor power source to the sensor part so that the sensor power source voltage Vs which is the voltage between the sensor power source and the sensor part falls. In addition, after electric power supply to the sensor part resumes, and the sensor part is recovered from the abnormalities, then, the power source control section continues the electric power supply from the sensor power source to the sensor part. When the sensor part is not recovered from the abnormalities, the power source control section stops the electric power supply from the sensor power source to the sensor part.

Sensor apparatus and electric power steering apparatus using the same

A sensor device includes sensors and an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The sensors include sensor elements, a signal comparator, and a signal transmitter. The signal comparator compares a first main detection value from one of the sensor elements, and a first sub detection value from the other of the sensor elements. When the first main detection value matches the first sub detection value, the signal transmitter generates and transmits an output signal that includes a first main signal corresponding to the first main detection value without including a first sub signal corresponding to the first sub detection value. In such manner, the responsiveness of the sensor device may be improved, without deteriorating a reliability of the output signals from the sensor sections.

A communication system includes a sensor apparatus, which includes sensing elements and a transmission circuit, and a microcomputer, which includes a reception circuit, a difference calculator, and a differential calculator. The transmission circuit shifts a transmission time point of one of sensor signals including sensor value detected by one of the sensing elements by a predetermined period with respect to a transmission time point of another one of sensor signals including sensor value detected by another one of the sensing elements. The predetermined period is set shorter than a transmission cycle of the transmission circuit. The difference calculator calculates a difference value so that an offset error among the sensing elements is compensated or a fluctuation caused by a variation in slopes of output characteristics of the sensing elements is reduced.

Communication system

A sensor device includes two sensor parts and an ECU. An output division of one of the two sensor parts stops output of an output signal when a detected internal abnormality is a first abnormality. Further, when the detected internal abnormality is a second abnormality that is different from the first abnormality, the output division controls an abnormality signal to take a value indicative of the second abnormality. An abnormality determiner determines either of a signal obtainment abnormality or the first abnormality of the sensor part when the output signal is not obtained from the one of the sensor parts, or determines the second abnormality of the one of the sensor parts when the obtained output signal includes the abnormality signal having a value indicative of the second abnormality. Such determination, thus, enables the abnormality determiner to classify an abnormality caused in the sensor parts.
