An ink sheet cartridge, requiring no adhesive, capable of inhibiting the number of components from increase is obtained. This ink sheet cartridge comprises first and second case portions storing an ink sheet as well as a first hook portion and a first hook engaging portion integrally provided on the first and second case portions respectively. Either the first case portion or the second case portion is so slid as to engage the first hook portion with the first hook engaging portion, thereby fixing the first and second case portions to each other.

A paper discharge device for a printer according to the present invention includes a paper guidethat has a paper holding endfor pressing paper P against a paper guide surfaceat a nip at a longitudinally intermediate position A of the paper guide surfacein front of a paper feed rollerwhile the paper P passes through the nip in the feed direction 'a'. The paper guideis formed by a resin plate piece, one surface of the plate piece being utilized as a paper discharge surface. An extension portionof the plate piece is provided opposite and below a paper discharge rollerto bias the paper P running on to the paper discharge surfaceinto contact with the circumferential surfaceof the paper discharge rollerby its elasticity. Thus, one surface of the paper guide is utilized as a paper discharge surface, and the paper guide is also used as a paper pressing member for pressing paper against the paper discharge roller.

An image generating apparatus capable of improving positional accuracy of a bearing of a side plate with respect to a chassis is obtained. In this thermal transfer printer (image generating apparatus), a round hole receiving a platen roller bearing of a side plate is provided on a side surface of a chassis. The side plate is mounted on the chassis by bringing the side plate into contact with the side surface of the chassis in a state inclined by a prescribed angle &#x3b8; and thereafter rotating the side plate about the platen roller bearing serving as the rotation center.

A paper feed portion for an image forming apparatus has a simple structure capable of generating a carrying force and preventing double feeding effectively. A paper feed rollerand a carrying auxiliary portionare arranged symmetrically with respect to the paper feed path, that is, above the paper feed path on the upstream side and below the paper feed path on the downstream side, respectively. In the carrying auxiliary portion, a carrying force generating ribis at the center of the width direction and positioned facing the contact memberof the paper feed roller. Image forming apparatus

A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is provided with a lock releasing arm for depressing a lock releasing switch on a front cover of a cassette. The magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus uses a cassette positioning means for positioning a cassette until the cassette is automatically inserted, including the lock releasing arm having a claw to be in contact with a side wall on a cassette inserting direction side of a hole where the lock releasing switch is provided, and a projection to be in contact with the front face of the cassette when the cassette is inserted. When the cassette is brought into contact with the projection, the lock releasing arm depresses the lock releasing switch to position the cassette.
