A ground faulty interrupting function is returned to a normal standby state in a short time after a movable contact () tripped in detecting electrical leak is returned to a closed position. A tripping coil () which moves the contact () provided on an output line () to a shutdown position is included. A current transformer () is provided on a downstream of the contact (). A circuit () energizes the coil () when the leak current are detected. A reset signal forming circuit () outputs a reset signal to the gate signal forming circuit () when the contact () is returned to a connection position. The circuit () obtains power from the upstream side of the contact (). LED () is lit when the contact () is at the shutdown position, and LED () end display when the contact () is returned to the normal position.

Power supply apparatus

A molding die assembly includes an upper die and a lower die, wherein at least one of the upper and lower dies is provided with a cavity corresponding to the shape of a rubber member to be molded, wherein at least one of the upper and lower dies is provided with an annular projection around a cavity. The distance between the upper and lower dies at the annular projection is made smaller than the distance between the opposed surface portions, other than the cavity, of the upper and lower dies. A rubber member produced by the above mentioned molding die assembly is also provided.

A choke valve is controlled finely suited to the running state of an engine. A throttle valveand a choke valveare provided in series on an intake pipe, and the opening degree of the choke valveis controlled by a stepping motorA choke valve opening degree upon start of engine (start opening degree) and a driving pulse rate of a stepping motorare determined depending on the engine temperature. When lower than the engine temperature TL, the pulse rate is set at first rate, or the lowest rate in a specified range. Depending on the engine temperature, the pulse rate is set higher gradually up to second rate TH. When releasing the choke gradually in warm-up operation, the pulse rate is lowered so as to obtain a choke opening degree of high precision by a high torque.

The choke valve opening degree upon start of engine (start opening degree) is determined depending on the engine temperature. The stepping motoris initialized at the fully closed side of the choke valvewhen the power source for starting the engine is turned on. The start opening degree of the choke valve is judged to be closer to the fully closed side or fully opened side, and the stepping motoris initialized at the fully closed side if judged to be close to the fully closed side, and at the fully opened side if at the fully opened side.

An engine generator comprises a fan cover made of die-cast aluminum alloy, and a power control unit including an aluminum base sheet. The base sheet has a power control circuit formed thereon. The fan cover includes a mounting portion to be attached to the power control unit. When the power control unit is attached to the fan cover, a surface of the aluminum base sheet comes into intimate contact with an outer surface of the mounting portion. Heat generated at the unit is transmitted to the fan cover, and then released from the fan cover serving as a heat releasing member.

In an engine generator unit, an engine is connected with an outer-rotor/magnet type generator that has a cantilevered outer rotor functioning also as a substitute for an engine fly wheel. Cooling fan device is attached to the outer rotor. The generator and cooling fan device are covered with a fain cover that is made of die-cast aluminum alloy. The fan cover has, at its one end remote from the engine, a cooling-air inlet portion for introducing cooling air from the outside via the cooling fan device, and a recoil starter is attached to the cooling-air inlet portion. Also, the fan cover is connected at its other end to the engine with a gap formed therebetween for blowing the cooling air onto an outer peripheral surface of the engine. Supporting leg members are secured to the fan cover and engine, and these leg members are also mounted to a framework via shock-absorbing members.

A portable power unit is provided. A desired waveform signal indicative of a desired waveform having a desired frequency is generated. Switching control of a variable control bridge circuit is performed based on the desired waveform signal to cause the variable control bridge circuit to generate an alternating current output. A waveform of the alternating current output is detected to generate an output waveform signal indicative of the detected waveform of the alternating current output. A power factor is detected by comparing the desired waveform signal and the output waveform signal to generate a power factor signal indicative of the detected power factor. Voltage of the alternating current output is controlled based on the power factor signal.

Portable power unit

An engine speed control apparatus controls the rotational speed of an engine when the engine is overloaded. The engine speed control apparatus includes a fuel injection rate detecting circuit for detecting the rate at which fuel is injected by a fuel injection unit, an engine speed detecting circuit for detecting the rotational speed of the engine, a fuel injection condition determining circuit for determining whether the rate detected by the fuel injection rate detecting circuit is substantially a maximum rate or not, a speed condition determining circuit for determining whether the rotational speed detected by the engine speed detecting circuit is increasing at least a predetermined rate of change or not, and an overload condition determining circuit for producing an engine overload signal to reduce the load driven by the engine if the rate is determined as substantially the maximum rate by the fuel injection condition determining circuit and also if the rotational speed is determined as not increasing at least at the predetermined rate of change by the speed condition determining circuit.
