A lighting device includes a light source, a housing, a heat radiator, and a connector. A part of heat generated by the light source is transmitted to the housing, and the housing radiates the part of the heat. Another part of the heat generated by the light source is transmitted to the heat radiator, and the heat radiator radiates the another part of the heat. The connector transmits heat from the housing to the heat radiator when a temperature of a portion of the housing around the connector is higher than a temperature of a portion of the heat radiator around the connector. The connector transmits heat from the heat radiator to the housing when the temperature of the portion of the heat radiator around the connector is higher than the temperature of the portion of the housing around the connector.

An illumination device comprising: an optical guide for receiving light emitted from a light source and guiding the light by repetitive transmission and reflection; a reflective member for reflecting light transmitting in the optical guide to an outside of the optical guide within the optical guide; a supplemental reflective member for reflecting light transmitting the reflective member and light leaked from the optical guide while evading the optical guide to an inside of the optical guide, transmitting the reflective member and light leak.

Illumination device

An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier that carries a latent image; an exposure device, which includes a light source and an optical member, for focusing, on the image carrier, light emitted by the light source that is used to form a latent image on the image carrier; and a developing device, for developing the latent image.
