Medical tape suitable to be adhered onto a skin wound for healing of the skin wound or onto a scar for suppressing a thickening, an expansion and an extension of the scar after healing of the wound. The medical tape includes a flexible and stretchable substrate consisting of a plastic film or foil; a release paper which is adhered to one side of the substrate via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; and a peelable support consisting of two sheets of plastic films which are adhered to another side of the substrate via a silicone-coating layer and a slightly adhesive layer, in that order. The two sheets of plastic films are butted with each other at the midpoint of a longitudinal direction of the substrate, and over a widthwise direction of the substrate. The medical tape advantageously applies a shrinking force only to a wound surface or a scar surface.

Medical tape

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel medicinal use in regeneration medicine, said medicinal use comprising using pluripotent stem cells (Muse cells). Provided is a cell preparation for treating skin ulcer, said cell preparation comprising SSEA-3 positive pluripotent stem cells isolated from a mesenchymal tissue of a living organism or cultured mesenchymal cells. The cell preparation according to the present invention is based on such mechanism of skin tissue regeneration that, when the Muse cells are administered to a skin ulcer site of a subject suffering from the aforesaid disease, the Muse cells differentiate into skin-constituting cells.

Pluripotent stem cell for treating diabetic skin ulcer

The present invention provides a method for preparing homogeneous stem cells and/or precursor cells in a large amount, in a simple and efficient manner, from human (in particular, the subject per se). The present invention further provides a method for preparing tissue implant or graft in a large amount by the use of the stem cells and/or precursor cells of the present invention. The present inventors have unexpectedly discovered that an aspirate from liposuction contains a large number of stem cells and have established a method for preparing stem cells from such an aspirate from liposuction, and thereby achieved the above-mentioned object.

Method for preparing stem cells from fat tissue

The present invention provides a simple method for controlled differentiation of adipose-derived precursor cells. A method is provided for preparing a differentiated cell. The method comprises A) obtaining a mixture by mixing a) an adipose-derived precursor cell and b) a differentiated cell corresponding to a desired site; and B) culturing the mixture under sufficient conditions which allow the adipose-derived precursor cell to differentiate. The present invention also provides a composition for cell implantation comprising a) an adipose-derived precursor cell and b) a differentiated cell corresponding to a desired site.

Cell differentiation of adipose-derived precursor cells

An ink cartridge is removably attached to a serial printer. The ink cartridge has a memory device in which information on the ink cartridge is stored. The information may include information such as viscosity, temperature coefficient, the hue and brightness of color ink, various user's settings of density of a printed image and color tone of a printed color image, and identification data indicative of a kind of the ink cartridge. A controller in the printer determines whether the attached cartridge is suitable for use with the printer, by comparing the identification data read from the ink cartridge with the reference data stored in the printer. The information may also include data of a maximum count of dots that the ink cartridge is capable of printing and data of a cumulative count of printed dots that the cartridge has printed. The printer includes an adder for producing sum of a number of dots currently being printed and the cumulative count of dots, and stores the sum as a new cumulative count into the ink cartridge. The printer indicates to the user when the ink of the cartridge is about to run out. A capacitor having a capacitance value corresponding to a kind of the ink cartridge may be provided in the cartridge. The printer generates data similar to the identification data to identify a kind of ink cartridge.

Printer and printing cartridge therefor

An ink jet printer has a first transporting section adapted to transport a medium on which information is printed. The first transporting section has a first contact area in contact with the medium. A second transporting section is adapted to transport the medium and has a second contact area in contact with the medium. The second contact area is smaller than the first contact area. A selector selectively causes the first and second transporting sections to move into contact engagement with the medium to transport the medium.

Ink jet printer

An ink cassette is used in an ink jet printer and has nozzles through which ink is ejected. The ink cassette has a pair of nozzle levers with a cap formed between their free ends. The cap closes the nozzles when the nozzle levers pivot to a closing position and leaves the nozzles exposed when the levers pivot to an opening position. A carriage unit receives the ink cassette therein and moves between a print area and a non-print area. The carriage unit has supports on which the ink cassette pivots between a first position and a second position. When the ink cassette pivots to the first position, the ink cassette is engaged with a lock lever which holds the ink cassette in position, and the nozzle lever is engaged with lugs formed on the carriage unit which cause the nozzle levers to pivot to the opening position when the ink cassette is moved to the first position. The carriage unit may have a drive lever pivotally supported on the carriage unit and the aforementioned lug may be formed on a free end of the drive lever. The drive lever pivots between a third position where the lug engages the nozzle lever causing the nozzle lever to pivot to the opening position, and a fourth position where the post disengages from the nozzle causing the nozzle lever to pivot to the closing position.
