A fuel tank includes: a tank main body made of a resin material; and a cover member which is formed using threads made of a fiber-reinforced composite material containing a thermoplastic resin fusible to a surface of the tank main body. The cover member has a twill weave structure at least in its portion fused to the upper surface of the tank main body. The threads each have a core-sheath structure in which a fiber made of a polypropylene resin is coated with a polyethylene resin.

Fuel tank

A fluid storage apparatus includes a guiding mechanism that linearly guides a flexible container in accordance with expansion and contraction of the flexible container. The guiding mechanism includes a guiding column that is disposed adjacent to the flexible container and that extends linearly and a slider that has a guiding hole, in which the guiding column is inserted, and that is formed on an upper edge portion of the flexible container.

Fluid storage apparatus

A fuel-level measuring apparatus measures the level of fuel in a vehicle fuel tank. The apparatus can ensure a sufficient capacity of the fuel tank and sense the fuel level even when the fuel tank has a thin or complicated shape. A fuel-level measuring apparatus that senses the level of fuel in a vehicle fuel tank disposed below a floor panel of a vehicle includes a tank band that secures the fuel tank to a body of the vehicle, and a strain gauge attached to the tank band. The fuel level can be obtained from strain in the tank band detected by the strain gauge.

Fuel-level measuring apparatus

A fuel tank includes a tank body having an outer wall formed of a synthetic resin layer having a multilayer structure. The tank body has at least an inner body layer (an inner adhesive layer and an inner base layer) and an outer body layer (a skin layer, an outer base layer, and an outer adhesive layer) between which a barrier layer is interposed. A structure having an air layer therein is attached to the outer side of the skin layer of the outer body layer.

Automotive fuel tank

A sealing structure of a fuel tank includes: a hollow circular cylinder part, having an inner circumferential part, formed near opening of the fuel tank to extend outward; a cap body having a hollow cylindrical part inserted into the inner circumferential part to face the inner circumferential part; and a seal member disposed between the inner circumferential part and the hollow cylindrical part. A protruding part is provided on an outer circumferential side of the hollow circular cylinder part of the fuel tank. A locking part formed on an outer circumferential part of the cap body and the protruding parts are fixed.

Sealing structure of fuel tank and vehicle provided with same

A lid member includes a tubular section housed inside an opening section, an external flange section closing the tubular section and extending therefrom across an outer boundary, and a seal-member mounting section extending downward from the edge of the external flange section and having a seal member. A flange-equipped sleeve includes a sleeve section attached to a neck section and an internal flange section extended from the sleeve section across the outer boundary and attached to an inner wall of the tank body. The flange-equipped sleeve contains a resin having a higher heat-resistant temperature than a resin constituting the tank body. When the lid member closes the opening section, the tubular section is housed inside the sleeve section. The external flange section contacts the top of the neck section and the sleeve section. An inner circumference of the seal member is attached to the outer boundary of the neck section.
