A ventilation outlet of a generation unit case installed outdoors and housing a generation unit including a generator and an internal combustion engine to drive the generator. The outlet comprise a maintenance box whose inside surfaces are attached with sound insulators and bored with an inlet hole at its upper portion to be communicated with an inside of the generation unit case and bored with an outlet hole at its lower portion that connects the inlet hole to exterior through a passage formed among the sound insulators. A flow guide plate is installed near the outlet hole to guide rainwater entered from outside to flow upward and a shield is installed at the passage to prevent the rainwater from flowing further upward.

A vertical, multi-link, adjustable-stroke type engine includes a lubricating oil passage provided in a cylinder barrel for supplying lubricating oil to a lower shaft end portion of a crankshaft and at least a lower shaft end portion of an eccentric shaft, which changes an intake stroke and compression stroke of a piston, so as to pre-press the crankshaft and the eccentric shaft in a predetermined direction, or for supplying lubricating oil to the lower shaft end portion of the eccentric shaft so as to pre-press the eccentric shaft in a predetermined direction.

Vertical, multi-link, adjustable-stroke type engine

A multi-link, adjustable-stroke type engine includes: a timing gear provided on and concentrically with a crankshaft; an eccentric gear provided on an eccentric shaft and meshing with the timing gear so that rotation of the timing gear is transmitted to the eccentric gear; a lubricating oil passage provided in a cylinder barrel for supplying lubricating oil to lower shaft end portions of the crankshaft and eccentric shaft; and an ejection section provided in the lubricating oil passage for ejecting lubricating oil toward a meshing engagement section between the timing gear and the eccentric gear.
