The heat sensitive recording material of the present invention has, between a support and a heat sensitive recording layer, an intermediate layer having a tensile modulus of elasticity of from 1.times.10.sup.8 to 1.times.10.sup.10 dyne/cm.sup.2) as measured according to JIS K 7127. The heat sensitive recording material of the present invention is suitable to prevention of abrasion of a thermal head and prevention of sticking of the heat sensitive recording material to the thermal head.

A method for forming an image is described which includes bringing a transparent heat-sensitive recording material including a transparent support made of a synthetic polymer having thereon a transparent heat-sensitive recording layer into contact with a light-absorbing material, at least at the time of effecting recording, and irradiating the light-absorbing material with a laser beam to heat the transparent heat-sensitive recording layer and to cause color formation therein. High speed, high density, and high quality recording can be performed with an increased light absorption efficiency.

Image forming method

A method of forming an image is disclosed comprising irradiating a heat-sensitive recording material with a laser beam, wherein the heat-sensitive recording material includes a support having provided thereon a light-absorbing layer containing microcapsules which encapsulate a core substance containing carbon black and a binder, and tranferring a latent image thus formed on the light-absorbing layer, in accordance with the pattern and amount of the laser beam irradiation, to an image-receiving film under pressure to thereby obtain a visible image on the image-receiving film.

Heat development type diazo copying material containing a light

A package for diazo thermosensitive recording materials coiled round a core, which comprises a packaging paper being a water vapor permeability of more than 50 g/m.sup.2.24 hours and comprising a light-reflecting paper layer located as outer layer and a light-shielding paper layer located as inner layer. In the package of the invention, the packaging paper shields the recording material from the external heat and light. When internal humidity is increased such as by heating of the package such as higher than 50.degree. C., moisture passes through the packaging paper to the outside. Accordingly, fogging by precoupling of the packaged diazo thermosensitive recording materials, irrespective of the fixation type or not, is remarkably decreased, and the quality of the recording material can be maintained for a long period during storage.

The material can be used to form a color image with improved light and heat fastness.

Color photographic sensitive materials

The reduction in cyan coloring density of a color photographic paper caused by the conversion of cyan dye into leuco compound during blixing is prevented by reducing the total amount of silver contained in the silver halide emulsion layer or layers disposed between the cyan coloring silver halide emulsion layer and the support of the color photographic paper. The total amounts of silver in these layers should be 0.6 g/m.sup.2 or less. When the silver content is reduced in order to prevent a reduction in cyan color density, it is generally desirable to utilize only particular magenta couplers in order to avoid reducing the magenta color density.
