A BSM unit according to an embodiment is attached to a side surface facing the vehicle body of a visor of an outer mirror provided to a vehicle body of a vehicle. The BSM unit includes a light source; a housing configured to accommodate the light source; and a lens configured to be attached to the housing and emit light from the light source to the outside of the housing, in which at least a portion of the lens protrudes from the side surface of the visor in an out-of-plane direction of the side surface.

The visor has an edge portion which is positioned on a rear side of the vehicle on the side surface and is surrounding a mirror of the outer mirror, at least a portion of the lens is exposed on the side surface of the visor, and a shape of the exposure portion of the lens includes a center of the exposure portion and the edge portion and is bilateral-symmetrical with respect to a cross section orthogonal to the side surface of the visor.

A courtesy logo lamp or a courtesy lamp is installed in a part on the interior side of a door of a vehicle. The courtesy logo lamp or the courtesy lamp includes a light source, a light guide and an outer lens. The light guide includes a light input surface that allows input of light from the light source, a light guide portion that guides light input from the light input surface, and a light output surface that allows output of the light guided by the light guide portion. The outer lens includes a transmission/diffusion portion. The transmission/diffusion portion allows input of the light output from the light output surface of the light guide, from a back surface, penetration of the light in the thickness direction and diffusion of the light, and radiation of the light from the front surface to the outside.

This invention provides a lamp-equipped vehicle outer mirror in which a phenomenon is less likely to occur, the phenomenon being the one in which light emitted from a lamp appears in a light emission pattern that is different from that intended by a designer. A side turn signal lamp is incorporated in a minor housing. A downward inclined surface is formed at a position above a lens of the side turn signal lamp in the mirror housing. The downward inclined surface is inclined obliquely downward and is lustrous. A part of turn signal lamp light emitted from the lens to an external field is reflected by the downward inclined surface. A relative positional relationship between the lens and the downward inclined surface is set so that the reflected light passes through an area on an upper side relative to a horizontal direction.

A casing of a turn signal lamp assembly includes a lamp housing and an outer lens, each of which includes a transparent member, being overlaid on each other and joined to each other at peripheral edges. The lamp housing includes a light entrance portion that receives incident light emitted from a light source, a light-guiding lens portion that guides the incident light, and a light exit portion that outputs the guided light.

While a light source is arranged on the back side of a light guide lens, light beams can be emitted from the light source with respective optical axes directed in one direction and be guided toward opposite ends of the light guide lens. A light source and a reflective surface are arranged on the back side of a light guide lens. The light source emits light beams with respective optical axes directed in one direction. One of the light beams obliquely enters the light guide lens toward one end in a long direction of the light guide lens without being reflected by the reflective surface. Another one of the light beams is reflected by the reflective surface and obliquely enters the light guide lens toward another end in the long direction of the light guide lens.

The present invention provides a base which can be used for both manually retractable vehicle door mirror in which a shaft is placed on a rotating side and electrically retractable vehicle door mirror in which a shaft is placed on a stationary side. A base includes a car body fixing section and rotation support section. The rotation support section is equipped with an upright shaft fastening surface on which a shaft of an electric drive mechanism of an electrically retractable door mirror is fastened upright. A center hole is formed in a central part of the upright shaft fastening surface to rotatably pass a shaft formed on a rotating side of a manually retractable door mirror. An annular wall housing groove is formed on an outer circumferential side of the upright shaft fastening surface to rotatably house an annular wall formed coaxially with the shaft on the rotating side of the manually retractable door mirror.

The present invention provides a door mirror and assembly method therefor with improved assembly performance. A housing support member, housing, and base of a manually retractable door mirror are assembled using screws, a coil spring, and a plate. During assembly, the housing support member is supported in an upside-down position by a jig, and the housing and base are placed in sequence in an upside-down position on the housing support member from above. An electric drive mechanism, fitting, housing, and base of an electrically retractable door mirror are assembled using screws. During assembly, the electric drive mechanism is supported in an upside-down position by a jig, and the fitting, housing, and base are placed in sequence in an upside-down position on the electric drive mechanism from above.

Door mirror and assembly method therefor

A manually retractable vehicle door mirror which can reduce the number of parts and improve efficiency of assembly operations as well as provide large bearing capacity at a location outwardly away from a shaft location to bear bending moments acting on a housing support member due to external forces. A housing support member is formed integrally with a shaft, annular wall, and a housing-support-member-side portion of a clutch, which are placed coaxially with a rotation axis. A housing is fixedly coupled to the housing support member. A base is formed integrally with a shaft passage hole, annular wall housing groove, and a base-side portion of a clutch, which are placed coaxially with a rotation axis. The shaft is rotatably inserted into the shaft passage hole, the annular wall is rotatably housed in the annular wall housing groove, and the housing support member is supported on the base in such a way as to be able to rotate around the rotation axis.
