A terminal apparatus detachably mounted on a battery module assembly made up of module units which are formed as aggregates of a plurality of cells and accommodated in a battery case through its open end. The apparatus has a computer which is programed to acquire state of the battery module assembly, to communicate acquired state of the battery module assembly to outside, and to connect or disconnect output of the battery module assembly to or from a load such as a vehicle electric motor, a factory electrical machine tool, home lighting fixtures and a construction machine electric motor by means of switch. The computer is further programed to detect change of the load and to switch output of the battery module assembly in accordance with changed load when the change of the load is detected.

A relay control system for an electric vehicle includes an electric power line, a relay, an operation member, a state sensor, a rotational speed detector, a shift position detector, and a relay disconnection permitting device. The state sensor is configured to sense that a signal circuit through which a signal related to a state of the operation member flows is changed into a disconnecting operation state. The rotational speed detector is configured to detect a rotational speed of the electric motor. The shift position detector is configured to detect a shift position of the electric vehicle. The relay disconnection permitting device permits disconnection of the relay based on the rotational speed detected by the rotational speed detector and the shift position detected by the shift position detector if the state sensor senses that the signal circuit is changed into the disconnecting operation state.

In a battery pack for an electric car, a plurality of battery modules are mounted to be divided between the front and rear of a middle cross member and a main switch and a junction board are disposed in the front and rear of the middle cross member respectively. A bent part of a second high voltage cable, which bends into a U-shape and pass through beneath the middle cross member, is held by a cable holder and fixed to a fixing part. Since only a bus bar disposed in the intermediate part of the first high voltage cable is bent into a U-shape and passed through beneath the middle cross member, not only is a wiring operation of the first high voltage cable easy, but it is also possible to minimize the length of the bus bar to thus enhance the reliability with respect to vibration.

A power supply system for an electric vehicle includes a battery, a first power line, a first connector, a first shock absorbing member, a first rigid member, and a second rigid member. The first rigid member includes a first front connection portion and a rear portion. The second rigid member includes a first rear connection portion and a front portion. The rear portion of the first rigid member is contactable with the front portion of the second rigid member at a contact point when a front-end collision of the electric vehicle occurs. The first connector is disposed within a first triangular region defined by the first front connection portion, the first rear connection portion, and the contact point in a plan view of the electric vehicle.

A vehicle battery cooling device, which includes: a battery case for housing a plurality of batteries to be mounted on a vehicle; a fan for circulating air for cooling the batteries by suctioning air in the battery case; an air inlet disposed on each of a pair of side wall portions facing each other for introducing air from outside the battery case; and an air outlet disposed on a bottom wall portion of the battery case for exhausting air from the battery case by suctioning of the fan.
