A backlight device is provided and includes case having bottom plate; light guide having front surface as emission surface, rear surface opposed to front surface, and incidence surface that is one of side surfaces of light guide, rear surface facing to bottom plate; light-emitting elements facing incident surface of light guide, each of light-emitting elements having bottom surface and light-emitting surface facing incidence surface of light guide; fixing tape arranged on bottom plate, each of bottom surfaces of light-emitting elements and rear surface of light guide being adhered to fixing tape; and light-shield facing fixing tape through light guide.

Backlight device

An image capturing device unit includes a multilayer substrate, an image capturing device mounted on one face of the multilayer substrate, and components mounted on the other face of the multilayer substrate. The multilayer substrate includes electrodes to electrically connect the image capturing device and the multilayer substrate, vias that electrically connect the electrodes and the components, first wiring electrically connected to the vias, second wiring on layers of the multilayer substrate, and a non-wired region that insulates the vias and the first wiring from the second wiring on each of the layers. The vias are located in the multilayer substrate so that, on a projection plane given when the multilayer substrate is viewed in a layering direction of the multilayer substrate, there is no area in which the non-wired region overlaps with a region where the image capturing device is arranged throughout the layers.

Backlight device and a liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight device. The backlight device includes a case with a bottom plate and a side plate, a light guide on the bottom plate, and a light source device. The light source device includes a wiring substrate and a light-emitting element on the wiring substrate. The wiring substrate includes a mounting portion on which the light-emitting element is mounted, a connection wiring portion on a back surface side of the bottom plate, and a joint portion which joints the mounting portion and the connection wiring portion together. The joint portion extends from an inside to an outside of the case through a gap between the side plate of the case and the liquid crystal panel.

According to one embodiment, a backlight device includes a case having a bottom plate, a light guide having an emission surface, a second main surface and an incidence surface and arranged on the bottom surface, and a light source unit including a wiring board and light-emitting elements on the wiring board. Each light-emitting element has a mounting surface, a first side surface opposed to the mounting surface, and a light-emitting surface between the mounting surface and the first side surface. Each light-emitting surface faces the incidence surface, and the first side surfaces are arranged parallel to the second main surface, and the light source unit is fixed to the light guide with a fixing tape attached over each first side surface and the second main surface.

Backlight device and liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a case including a bottom plate and a side plate provided on the bottom plate and attached to the display panel, and a flexible wring board including a first end joined to the display panel and extending from the display panel toward the bottom plate while being curved around the side plate. The flexible wring board includes a substrate, a conductive layer on a first surface of the substrate and constituting wires, and a protective layer overlaid on the conductive layer and the substrate and opposed to an outer surface of the case. The flexible wring board includes a curved portion curved along the side plate, and the substrate includes a concavity provided in the curved portion.

Display device and flexible wiring board

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a case including a bottom plate opposing a rear surface of the display panel and a side plate stand on the bottom plate and attached to the display panel, a flexible wiring board, one end of which is joined to the display panel, curved around the side plate toward the bottom plate to oppose the bottom plate while, and an adhesive filled between the flexible wiring board and the side plate of the case or between the flexible wiring board and both of the side plate and the bottom plate, to adhere the flexible wiring board onto an outer surface of the case and hold the flexible wiring board in a curved state.

According to one embodiment, an illumination device includes a light guide, a light source device and an optical sheet. The light guide has an emission surface and side surfaces which intersect the emission surface, and at least one side surface is located inside a display area. The light source device emits light to the light guide. The optical sheet is provided on the emission surface and is opposed to the display area. The optical sheet has an edge portion which covers an area between the one side surface and an edge of the display area, and a transmittance adjustment area which is provided in the edge portion and reduces a transmittance of the edge portion.
