An electrode body of a secondary battery described herein includes: a core portion where electrode mixture layers of a plurality of electrode sheets are laminated; terminal connecting portions where respective current collector foil exposed portions are laminated, and a mixture layer non-facing portion where the electrode mixture layer faces the current collector foil exposed portion, the mixture layer non-facing portion being formed in a boundary between the terminal connecting portion and the core portion. In the secondary battery described herein, a short-circuit promoting portion having a predetermined depth (d) is formed in a separator provided between the electrode sheets in the mixture layer non-facing portion. Hereby, before a battery temperature rapidly increases to a high-temperature range due to occurrence of internal short-circuit between the electrode mixture layers, internal short-circuit is caused between the electrode mixture layer and the current collector foil exposed portion, so that charging can be stopped.

The present invention provides a conductive paste for positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries and mixture paste for positive electrodes of lithium-ion batteries that have an easy-to-apply viscosity, even when a relatively small amount of a dispersant is incorporated. Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery system

The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having an electrode body formed by stacking a positive electrode, a separator and a negative electrode and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The separator has a separator substrate made and a first porous heat resistance layer formed on a surface of the substrate on a side facing the positive electrode. A surface of the negative electrode on a side facing the separator is formed by a second porous heat resistance layer. A method of manufacturing for a secondary battery. The secondary battery is configured to include an electrode group in a battery package. The electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The manufacturing method includes: (a) measuring a first voltage drop amount of the secondary battery with the passage of time in a state in which a compression force in a direction parallel to a lamination direction of the electrode group is applied to the electrode group via the battery package; (b) measuring a second voltage drop amount of the secondary battery with the passage of time in a state in which the compression force is released; and (c) detecting a small short circuit of the secondary battery by comparing the first voltage drop amount and the second voltage drop amount.

Manufacturing method for secondary battery

A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes an electrode body, a non-aqueous electrolyte and a porous heat resistance layer. The electrode body is provided with a positive electrode and a negative electrode that face each other through a separator.
