A crowbar module includes first and second electrical terminals, a module housing, and first and second crowbar units. The first crowbar unit is disposed in the module housing and includes a first thyristor electrically connected between the first and second electrical terminals. The second crowbar unit is disposed in the module housing and includes a second thyristor electrically connected between the first and second electrical terminals in electrical parallel with the first crowbar unit.

Devices for overvoltage, overcurrent and arc flash protection

A surge protective device (SPD) assembly module includes a polymeric outer enclosure, an SPD module, a first terminal, and a second terminal. The polymeric outer enclosure defines an enclosed, environmentally sealed enclosure chamber. The SPD module is disposed in the enclosure chamber. The SPD module defines an environmentally sealed SPD chamber and includes: first and second electrically conductive electrode members; and a varistor member formed of a varistor material and electrically connected between the first and second electrode members. The varistor member is disposed in the SPD chamber between the first and second electrode members. The first terminal is electrically connected to the first electrode member and extending out from the outer enclosure. The second terminal is electrically connected to the second electrode member and extending out from the outer enclosure.

Surge protective device assembly modules

A dual coil inductor assembly includes an inner coil assembly including an inner coil and first and second terminals, and an outer coil assembly including an outer coil and third and fourth terminals. The inner coil includes an inner metal foil, and an inner electrical insulator sheet spirally co-wound with the inner metal foil. The outer coil includes an outer metal foil, and an outer electrical insulator sheet spirally co-wound with the outer metal foil. The inner coil is disposed within an outer coil air core of the outer coil so that the outer coil circumferentially surrounds the inner coil. The first and second terminals are electrically connected to the inner metal foil at respective first and second locations spaced apart along the inner metal foil. The third and fourth terminals are electrically connected to the outer metal foil at respective third and fourth locations spaced apart along the outer metal foil.

Inductor assemblies

A telecommunications system uses a breakout device to connect a primary power cable to different secondary power cables that connect to different remote radio units (RRUs). For example, the breakout device may include a power distribution terminal that connects &#x2212;48 VDC and return power lines in the primary power cable to different &#x2212;48 VDC and return power lines in the secondary power cables. In another example, the breakout device may connect a hybrid cable that includes both power lines and fiber optic lines. A surge protection system may be located in the breakout device to protect the RRUs and other electrical device from power surges. Alternatively, the surge protection system may be located in jumper power cables connected between the breakout device and the RRUs.

Cable breakout assembly

A printed circuit board (PCB) assembly for use with first and second cables terminated with first and second cable lugs, respectively, wherein each of the first and second cable lugs includes two lug holes defined therein, the includes a PCB and a terminal block. The terminal block includes an electrically insulating base mounted on the PCB, and at least one electrically conductive conductor member mounted on the base and electrically connected to the PCB. The at least one conductor member is configured to engage each of the first and second cable lugs through the four lug holes thereof to electrically in-line terminate the first and second cables at the terminal block.
