A secondary battery disclosed here includes; an electrode body; a battery case including a case body and a lid; an external terminal; and a gasket insulates the lid and the external terminal at an outer side of the battery case. The lid has an attachment hole to which the external terminal is attached. The external terminal includes a shaft inserted in the attachment hole and a head extending radially outward from one end of the shaft. The gasket includes a bearing portion disposed between a bottom surface of the head and the lid, and a side wall rising upward from the bearing portion. The head has a chamfered portion in which at least a part of as outer periphery of the bottom surface. A gap is formed between the chamfered portion and each of the bearing portion and the side wall.

Secondary battery

In a battery assembly including a first battery and a second battery, the first battery includes a negative terminal, and the negative terminal has a first metal section and a second metal section formed of a metal different from the first metal section. The second metal section is joined to the top of the first metal section with the dissimilar metal joining, and the second metal section is formed with a joint surface and a recessed portion. A method of manufacturing the battery assembly includes a process of inserting a welding assist member into the recessed portion, and a process of placing a bus bar on the joint surface of the negative terminal in which the welding assist member is inserted in the recessed portion, and joining the bus bar onto the joint surface of the negative terminal by laser welding.

A secondary battery has a flat-shaped wound electrode body and a rectangular battery case housing the wound electrode body. In the wound electrode body, in at least any one of a positive electrode current collection foil laminated part and a negative electrode current collection foil laminated part, a positive electrode current collection foil exposed portion or a negative electrode current collection foil exposed portion is foil-bundled at a foil-bundling position and joined to a positive electrode current collection terminal or a negative electrode current collection terminal. At the foil-bundling position, the thickness A of the wound electrode body in the lamination direction and the shortest distance B to the foil-bundling position from the vertex of the R portion closest to the foil-bundling position among R portions of the wound electrode body satisfy, B≤(1/2) A.

An all-solid-state battery includes a solid electrode body including a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer, and a laminate film that stores the solid electrode body. The laminate film has a fragile part with respect to a needle-like foreign substance. The strength of the fragile part is lower than the strength of a part of the laminate film other than the fragile part.

Ultrasonic welding method using biasing members

A secondary battery includes an electrode body, a battery case, and an electrode terminal. The electrode body has a foil collecting portion. The electrode terminal corresponding to at least one of a positive electrode and a negative electrode is electrically connected to the foil collecting portion via a current collector terminal. The current collector terminal is joined to the foil collecting portion. The foil collecting portion has a joining mark composed of a plurality of recesses on a surface on an opposite side of the foil collecting portion from a surface joined to the current collector terminal. The joining mark has two corners on an inner side of the electrode body and two corners on an outer side of the electrode body, and only the two corners on the inner side of the electrode body have a chamfered shape.

Secondary battery and manufacturing method of secondary battery

Provided is a sealed battery, which includes an insulating member arranged between a lid member and a collector terminal member. The insulating member includes a cylindrical portion that is positioned between a through hole and a connecting portion and surrounds the connecting portion, and a flat plate portion positioned between the lid member and the flange portion, and the flat plate portion has a first projecting portion projecting towards the lid member side, and a second projecting portion projecting towards the flange portion side. In a sectional view taken along a virtual plane including a central axis of the connecting portion, a peak of the first projecting portion is provided at a position closer to the central axis than a peak position of the second projecting portion.

Sealed battery

A thermal expansion coefficient of a battery case may be lower than those of an insulating film and a separator. Portions of the insulating film, which are held in contact with the electrode body and the battery case, may be adhered to the separator, which is positioned on the outermost surface of the electrode body, and the battery case, respectively. A first 90 degree peeling strength of an adhesion portion between the insulating film and the battery case is higher than a second 90 degree peeling strength of an adhesion portion between the insulating film and the separator. The first 90 degree peeling strength may be 15 mN/cm or higher, and the second 90 degree peeling strength may be 5 mN/cm or higher.
