A lower arm has a first arm main part having a U-shape and a first vehicle-body-side front joint and a first vehicle-body-side rear joint provided at the tip parts of the first arm main part. An upper arm has a second arm main part having a U-shape and a second vehicle-body-side front joint and a second vehicle-body-side rear joint provided at the tip parts of the second arm main part. At least part of the second vehicle-body-side rear joint is overlapped with the first vehicle-body-side rear joint in plan view. The second vehicle-body-side front joint is offset to the rear side relative to the first vehicle-body-side front joint. A cushion unit disposed on the front side of the second arm main part is provided between a vehicle body frame F and the lower arm.

Independent suspension system of drive wheel

A differential mechanism regulating device which is mechanically connected to two manipulators is miniaturized. When a first cable and a second cable are pulled, a collecting member moves its position. As a result of this movement, the collecting member tilts a portion of an arm by way of a rod. As a result, a differential lock is released. The operation of the first cable and the operation of the second cable can be merged by the collecting member, and it is sufficient to connect only a collecting transmission member to the arm. The connection between the arm and the collecting transmission member can be simplified thus realizing the miniaturization of the differential mechanism.

Differential gear provided with differential lock mechanism

A miniaturized differential mechanism restricting device that is mechanically connected to two operation elements. A plurality of holes are formed in an output-side cam, and pin holes are formed in a differential case in a penetrating manner such that the pin holes overlap with the plurality of holes. A plurality of first pins, which pass through the pin holes in a penetrating manner and are fitted in the holes, extend from a first slide member, and a plurality of second pins, which pass through the pin holes in a penetrating manner and are fitted in the holes, extend from a second slide member. The first slide member is moved in the axial direction by a first shift fork, and the second slide member is moved in the axial direction by a second shift fork.

Differential mechanism restricting device

An electronic clutch control apparatus is provided for a vehicle having a clutch assembly and a clutch lever operatively associated with the clutch assembly. The electronic clutch control apparatus includes an actuator for driving a clutch assembly, an operation amount sensor for sensing an operation amount of a clutch lever, an electronic control unit for controlling the operation of the actuator based on the detected operation amount received from the operation amount sensor, and a feedback unit for applying an operation reaction force to the clutch lever. The feedback unit includes a plurality of springs having different spring constants. The feedback unit is configured such that when the clutch lever is operated in an operation amount increasing direction thereof, the operational reactive elastic forces of the plural springs are sequentially applied to the clutch lever.

Electronic clutch control apparatus for vehicle

A lighting apparatus is mounted to a lower end of a front fork that supports a front wheel via a bearing portion. The lighting apparatus has a housing, an upper surface of which includes a bottom case receiving surface formed thereon. The bottom case receiving surface is shaped so that an outer periphery of a bottom case can fit therein. A rubber sheet is placed between the bottom case and the bottom case receiving surface to offer vibration isolation property. A bolt is screwed into a threaded hole in the bottom case so as to penetrate through a mounting portion having the bottom case receiving surface, so that the lighting apparatus is secured to the bottom case.

Motorcycle

A clutch hydraulic mechanism wherein the positional relationship between two cylinders is not varied, and a compact structure can be achieved. A see-saw member for transmitting motive power is provided between a second release cylinder and a first master cylinder and the first master cylinder and the second release cylinder are formed in the same cylinder block. This eliminates the need for adjusting the positions of the first master cylinder and the second release cylinder. In addition, it is possible to dispose the first master cylinder and the second release cylinder close to each other.

Hydraulic mechanism for vehicle

A motorcycle is easily recognized by other vehicles or pedestrians and is hardly damaged during a maximum bank, by devising the disposition of lighting fixtures. An area surrounded by a vertical line passing on each of both side surfaces of a front wheel, a horizontal line passing through a protrusion of a step serving as a first grounding portion, and a straight line for connecting the first grounding portion with an intersection between the vertical line and the ground, is set. Lighting fixtures are provided in the area, as seen from the front side. The lighting fixtures are mounted to lower ends of front forks that support a shaft of the front wheel. The lighting fixture are mounted to lower rear ends of swing arms that support a shaft of the rear wheel. A lamp of each of the lighting fixtures is composed of an assembly of a plurality of light-emitting diodes.

In a transmission for a vehicle including a shift drum rotatably supported by an engine case for selectively establishing multiple gear trains of respective speed steps in accordance with the rotational position of the shift drum, a shift-position changing-driving member is interlocked with and connected to an end portion of the shift drum so as to drive the shift drum to rotate. A shift-position sensor detects which of the multiple gear trains is established. The maintainability of the shift-position sensor is achieved by a transmitting mechanism that transmits the amount of rotational movement of a shift drum. The shift-position sensor is interlocked with and connected to an end portion of the shift drum. A shift-position sensor is disposed at and fixed to the outside of an engine case so as to detect the acting amount that is transmitted by the transmitting mechanism.

Transmission for vehicle

A lighting apparatus has a housing and is disposed at a lower end of a front fork of a motorcycle. The housing includes a front opening disposed on a side of a radiation direction of a lighting body and a side opening disposed on a center side in a width direction of a motorcycle. The side opening in the housing, covered by a lid, is wide enough for the lighting body to pass through. The housing includes a wire guide for withdrawing an electric wire and a drain hole formed in a bottom portion of the housing. The lighting body is fixed on a board. The housing includes rails disposed on an upper wall portion and a lower wall portion thereof, into which an upper end and a lower end of the board are to be fitted so as to position the lighting body in a longitudinal direction.

Lighting apparatus for motorcycle

A transmission for a vehicle for performing a shift manipulation at a desired time while ensuring a favorable operation feeling. A lost motion member is arranged in a shift drive force transmitting mechanism arranged between a shift spindle and a shift drum, and a rotary position of the shift drum is resiliently held by a shift stopper mechanism in a state where one of a plurality of gear trains is established or in a neutral state. A state which allows a changeover operation of an established state of a plurality of gear trains due to an action of a shift drive force which is temporarily accumulated by a lost motion means and a state which interrupts the changeover operation can be changed over by a shift restricting mechanism which is provided as a part separate from a shift stopper mechanism.

Transmission of vehicle

A clutch hydraulic system for a vehicle wherein it is possible to independently operate two systems, to increase the degree of freedom in designing, and to achieve a reduction in cost. A seesaw member for transmitting motive power is provided between a second release cylinder and a first master cylinder, the first master cylinder and a second hydraulic oil pipe communicate with each other through a large diameter hole and a small diameter hole provided as communicating passages through which oil flows. A reservoir tank is provided for reserving the oil for controlling the amounts of the oil in the hydraulic oil passage on the side of the first master cylinder and the amount of the oil in the hydraulic oil passage on the side of the second release cylinder is connected to a second master cylinder.

Clutch hydraulic system for vehicle and hydraulic system

A clutch actuator device of a saddle-ride-type vehicle includes: a first master cylinder which is generating an oil pressure; a first release cylinder which is performing an engagement/disengagement operation of a clutch upon reception of the oil pressure transmitted from the first master cylinder by way of a first hydraulic pipe; and an actuator which is driving the first master cylinder in automatically performing the engagement/disengagement operation of the clutch. The clutch actuator device includes a seesaw member which constitutes a power transmission member for transmitting an operational force of a clutch lever or a drive force of the actuator to the first master cylinder, and a seesaw member rotational angle sensor which is detecting an operation quantity of the seesaw member.

Hydraulic clutch device actuated by electric motor and clutch lever

An ECU is configured to disengage a clutch by driving a motor upon detection of starting of a shift operation, and to engage the clutch upon detection of completion of the shift change. The shift operation starting detection is detected upon determination that an operational force given to a shift pedal is equal to or more than a predetermined operational force, and the shift change completion detection is detected upon determination that a rotational angle of a shift drum from a shift gear position before a shift gear operation becomes equal to or more than a first predetermined angle. The shift operation starting detection is also detected upon determination that the rotational angle of the shift drum from a shift gear position before a shift gear operation is a second predetermined angle or more which is smaller than the first predetermined angle.

Shift control device of transmission

A clutch operation mechanism wherein when a clutch is disengaged and engaged by manual operation or by operation of an actuator the one operation does not affect the other operation. The clutch operation mechanism includes a lever side lost mechanism which is disposed between a clutch lever and a turn-operating force transmitting member for interrupting, from the clutch lever side, an operated-force applied from the turn-operating force transmitting member by driving the electric motor when the clutch lever is not operated. A motor side lost mechanism is disposed between the electric motor and the turn-operating force transmitting member and interrupts, from the side of the electric motor, the operated-force applied from the turn-operating force transmitting member by operating the clutch lever when the electric motor is not operated.

Clutch operation mechanism

A shift position changing drive member for a transmission includes an arm member capable of turning around the axis of a shift spindle for drivingly turning a shift drum in response to the turning of the shift spindle wherein the shift drum is prevented from coming into a neutral position even if the shifting speed is stopped in midstream. A lost motion spring includes gripping portions gripping a pressing portion from both sides of a coil portion surrounding the shift spindle. An arm member of shift position changing drive member is provided with a pressure-receiving member which is gripped by both gripping portions in such a manner that when the turning member is turned, if, in response to the turning direction, the pressing portion abuts against one of the gripping portions for turning, the other of the gripping portions abuts against the pressure-receiving member.
