A ridgeline of a bottom surface portion at a rear portion of a rear side member rear at a rear of a fastening portion of rear side members to a rear portion of a rear suspension member is a slope shape which inclines downward toward a vehicle rear. A side member reinforcement, which is a reinforcing member which is against a load in a vehicle length direction, is attached to the rear portion of the rear side member rear. A fragile portion of low rigidity compared to a lower portion is formed at an upper portion of the side member reinforcement.

Vehicle rear portion structure

On a side face of a floor tunnel, a side reinforcement is disposed between an upper edge of the side face and a connected region at which a dash cross member is connected to the floor tunnel. An upper reinforcement extends in a longitudinal direction at an upper portion of the floor tunnel. The side reinforcement extends rearward with its rear edge inclining upward. A collision load input from a side member enters the side face of the floor tunnel via the dash cross member. The collision load is, then, transmitted to the upper reinforcement through the floor tunnel along the rear edge of the side reinforcement.

Vehicle underbody structure

A side sill outer panel and a side sill inner panel form a closed cross-sectional structure. A front end of a side sill is located at a rear of and spaced apart from a front tire-wheel unit on a front side of a vehicle. The side sill extends rearward. A front end portion of an outer reinforcement is located rearward from front end portions of both the side sill outer panel and the side sill inner panel.

Side sill structure and method for manufacturing side sill structure

A vehicle side structure includes a reinforcement extending upward from a rear wheel well, a side outer panel placed outward of the rear wheel well and the reinforcement in the vehicle width direction, a striker configured to lock a rear side door, and a bracket to which the striker is attached. An engaged portion is provided in the reinforcement, the striker is placed on an outer side of the side outer panel, and the bracket is provided with an engaging portion configured to engage with the engaged portion.

Vehicle side structure

A suspension tower is coupled to a front side member at a portion of the front side member located frontward from a front pillar. A frontal vehicle structure includes a coupling member including a front end coupled to the suspension tower and a rear end coupled to the front pillar. The coupling member includes an outer panel and an inner panel that form a closed cross-sectional structure. The outer panel includes a weak portion arranged between a joined portion of the coupling member joined to the suspension tower and a joined portion of the coupling member joined to the front pillar.
