An escalator step includes a tread having a body section on which a plurality of convex sections are arranged in parallel, a riser connected to a rear end portion of the tread and having thereon a plurality of convex sections and a plurality of concave sections formed between the adjacent convex sections, and a shock absorbing cleat provided on a corner at which the riser and tread are connected to each other. The shock absorbing cleat includes a plurality of long convex sections which are arranged in parallel and a plurality of short convex sections which are arranged in parallel between the adjacent long convex sections. The shock absorbing cleat is formed of a polymeric material having a Young's modulus of 1000 MPa or less.

Escalator step and escalator having thereof

An escalator step includes: a tread that includes a body section wherein a plurality of convex sections, which are parallel in a travelling direction, are arranged in a width direction; a riser that is coupled at a rear end portion of the body section of the tread and on which a plurality of convex sections are arranged in a width direction, with troughs being formed between adjacent convex sections; and a shock absorbing cleat located in a notch formed in a corner portion where the riser and the tread are coupled together. On the shock absorbing cleat, a plurality of convex sections, arranged in a width direction and parallel to the travelling direction, rear end surfaces are flush with troughs of the riser, each of the convex sections of the shock absorbing cleat is shifted a half pitch from each of the convex sections of the riser.

A double-decker elevator includes a winch, an upper car, a lower car, a car support frame supporting the upper and lower car, a car space adjusting device capable of adjusting the space between the upper and lower car, and an emergency operation controller. When the car space adjusting device is unable to operate normally, the emergency operation controller operates the winch to move the car support frame such that the upper and lower car are located sequentially at positions corresponding to adjacent floors, respectively.

Double-deck elevator

An elevator including a cage configured to ascend and descend in an elevator shaft, and at least one railing member disposed along at top edge of the cage and configured to be adjustable in height so that during performance of maintenance by a maintenance person, the railing is adjusted to be in an upright position, and is otherwise maintained in a position lower than a highest protruding object existing on the top of the cage.

Under a roping ratio of 1:1, a thin driving unit having a traction sheave and a driving mechanism is positioned between an inner wall of the elevator path and a space occupied by an elevator car rising and falling in the elevator path . One end of a suspension rope is fixed to the elevator car in a position below a ceiling of the elevator car . With the arrangement, the car can move close to the ceiling of the elevator car effectively. Further, it is possible to reduce respective heights of the elevator path and a building equipped with the elevator apparatus.

Traction type elevator apparatus

In an elevator, a driving unit is installed at the top of an elevator shaft above a counterweight. Traction sheaves engage with ropes and are rotated by the driving device. These traction sheaves are positioned close to wall surfaces of the elevator shaft, that are adjacent to its wall surface facing the counterweight. The traction sheaves are also positioned outside the horizontally projected plane of a car.

A load detector for an elevator having a cage moving up and down in a shaft for transporting passengers and a cable hanging the cage, including a relative position detector configured to detect a relative position of the cage against the shaft; and a calculator configured to calculate a change of the relative position between the position of the cage just after landing at a floor and the position of the cage just before leaving the floor, and a load of the cage on the basis of the change of the relative position caused by an expansion and contraction of the cable.
