Crawler-mounted slope traveling machine and shoe link for same

A novel method to construct a reinforcing block in an embankment is provided, wherein a core rod to which a protrusion is molded on the tip, is preset inside a hollow rotating shaft with drilling and agitating blades affixed around its circumference, but with the protrusion on the core rod exposed at the front of the shaft. This drilling and agitating shaft rotates and bores into the earth while simultaneously mixing the soil so agitated with a fixing agent; then at a specified depth, the rotating shaft is withdrawn leaving the core rod to remain anchored in the soil while the fixing agent continues to discharge from the end of the hollow rod; and when the hollow rod is completely removed, a reinforcing block is intact within the soil and the tail end of the core rod exposed on the surface of the banking is directly or indirectly affixed to this surface. Alternatively a core rod with no protrusion can be inserted into the hollow rotating shaft which is first drilled into the embankment, such that the nose end of the said core rod is anchored into unagitated soil. In either case the reinforcing block so formed is comprised of an outer concentric tube of agitated soil mixed with a fixing agent molded around an inner concentric tube of reinforcing fixing agent molded around a core rod, and wherein the nose tip of the core penetrates into the unagitated soil beyond the end of the concentric reinforcing layers.

Reinforcing block for excavation work and method of construction thereof

An excavation rod of a ground improvement apparatus is provided with an excavation blade and plural steps of agitation blades above the excavation blade. A corotation prevention blade which does not rotate during the excavation vertically and rotationally, is provided between the excavation blade and the agitation blade and plurality of downwardly projecting fingers are secured to the corotating prevention blade.

Corotating preventor of excavated soils in a ground improvement apparatus

This invention relates to a multi-rods type of ground improvement apparatus to be used in ground improvement work. There are provided plural rods in parallel, excavation blades are mounted to the ends of the rods, the rods are provided with injection openings for a solidifying agent, and at least one link arm is loosely mounted to connect the rods. Between the excavating blades and lowest positioned agitating blades, a still or stationary corotating prevention wing is loosely mounted and both ends of the wing are extended so as to be aligned with ends of the excavation blades positioned at opposite sides of the plural rods. Clods dug by the excavation blades are fully crushed between the rotating excavation blades and the still or stationary corotation prevention wing and well mixed with the solidifying agent. Further, by providing screw type of pilot heads at the ends of the rods, advancing of the rods into the ground is improved when the ground is excavated.
