A hydraulic pressure control unit and a straddle-type vehicle brake system capable of simultaneously reducing size of a motor for the hydraulic pressure control unit in a rotation axis direction and improving workability of connecting fluid pipes to a master cylinder port and a wheel cylinder port are obtained. An inlet valve and an outlet valve are provided in valve holes provided on a first surface of a base body. A motor is provided in an upright manner in a motor hole provided on the first surface. One of the master cylinder port and the wheel cylinder port is provided on a second surface as a surface opposing the first surface. The other of the master cylinder port and the wheel cylinder port is provided on a third surface constituting one end of the base body in a direction that is parallel with a reference surface including a center axis of the motor hole and is orthogonal to the center axis.

The invention has a purpose of obtaining a brake hydraulic pressure controller capable of securing durability with a simple configuration and a motorcycle brake system. The brake hydraulic pressure controller is a hydraulic pressure controller for a vehicle brake system and includes: a base body that is formed with a channel filled with a brake fluid therein; a hydraulic pressure regulation valve that has a plunger and opens/closes the channel by translatory movement of said plunger; a drive coil that has a hollow section, is vertically provided in the base body in a state where one end of the plunger is inserted in said hollow section, and causes the translatory movement of the plunger to drive the hydraulic pressure regulation valve; and a coil casing that accommodates the drive coil. The invention has a purpose of obtaining a brake hydraulic pressure controller having improved vibration resistance and a motorcycle brake system including such a brake hydraulic pressure controller. In the brake hydraulic pressure controller, an end (Eb) of a metal piece (E) is configured by including: a first portion and a second portion that are separated from each other; a first coupling section that couples one end of the first portion and one end of the second portion; a second coupling section that couples the other end of the first portion and the other end of the second portion; and a penetrating section, an outer periphery of which is configured by including the first portion, the second portion, the first coupling section, and the second coupling section, tongue pieces that are projected to an inner side of the penetrating section are respectively formed in the middle of the first portion and the middle of the second portion, a slit-shaped clearance, in which a terminal is inserted, is formed between a tip of the tongue piece of the first portion and a tip of the tongue piece of the second portion, and middle sections of the first coupling section and the second coupling section have folded shapes.

The invention aims to provide a motor module in which the number of components is reduced and the number of steps required for assembly is reduced, and an ABS hydraulic unit in which the motor module is embedded. Provided is a motor module including a motor and a planetary gear mechanism which is attached to an output shaft of the motor. The motor module includes a fixing portion that integrally fixes the motor and the planetary gear mechanism. The fixing portion fixes the motor by inwardly clamping the motor and fixes an internal gear of the planetary gear mechanism.

To improve the degree of freedom with which an ABS hydraulic unit is attached to a handlebar, an ABS hydraulic unit includes a main housing that has at least part of a hydraulic circuit formed inside and is equipped with a mounting portion for mounting a brake lever and an attachment portion having at least part of a side surface of a through hole formed along a first direction, the through hole being for attaching the ABS hydraulic unit to a handlebar. The ABS hydraulic unit also includes a master cylinder that has a piston portion that moves in conjunction with the brake lever, the master cylinder being for increasing, with the movement of the piston portion, the pressure of brake fluid inside the hydraulic circuit. A piston insertion hole that extends in the moving direction of the piston portion and is for inserting the master cylinder is formed in the main housing along a second direction that intersects, but is not orthogonal to, the first direction.
