A silver halide photographic material is disclosed, which has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, said silver halide emulsion layer containing a latex which has been stabilized by a protective colloid which is at least one substance selected from among natural water-soluble polymers, derivatives thereof, and synthetic hydrophilic polymers having at least one nonionic group and at least one anionic group in the molecular structure.

A silver halide photographic material containing at least one of couplers represented by the general formula [I] and at least one of the compounds represented by the general formula [XII] is disclosed. ##STR1## wherein Z is a group of nonmetal atoms necessary to complete a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring where the ring formed by Z may be substituted; X is a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being released upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and R is a hydrogen atom or substituent; ##STR2## wherein R.sub.21 is a hydrogen atom or a group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and aryl group, R.sub.22 and R.sub.23 are independently selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and an aryl group. The photographic material provides a dye-image highly stable against heat and light, and a formation of stain at a non-image area is prevented.

Silver halide photographic material

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing a 1H-pyrazolo[3,2-c]-s-triazole type magenta coupler is disclosed. The magenta coupler has an --SO.sub.2 -- group and at least one group selected from the group consisting of a --COOM group and a --SO.sub.3 M group, M being a hydrogen atom or a cation, in its molecule. The photographic material is improved in color development performance and preservability of magenta images.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having a plurality of silver halide emulsion layers which are sensitive to the same spectral region and having different speeds and at least one light-sensitive layer comprising a nondiffusible coupler, which upon reaction with an oxidized product of a color developing agent is capable of forming a nondiffusible dye, wherein the silver halide emulsion layer having the greatest speed of said plurality of silver halide emulsion layers sensitive to a particular spectral region contains a nondiffusible coupler which, upon reaction with an oxidized product of a color developing agent, is capable of producing a moveable dye, and a silver halide emulsion having a speed slower than said fastest speed layer contains a nondiffusible compound which, upon reaction with an oxidized product of a color developing agent, is capable of releasing a development inhibitor material.

A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which has at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, said silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one magenta coupler of formula (I) and at least one non-color forming phenolic compound: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl or aryl group; R.sub.2 is a monovalent group; R.sub.3 is an alkylene group; Y is a halogen atom, a hydroxy or alkyl group; Z is a group that can be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent; X is a divalent bonding group or an alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; m is an integer of 0 to 4; and n is an integer of 0 to 5.

Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material

A silver halide color photographic material is disclosed. The material contains a photographic magenta coupler of formula (I) and a phenolic compound of formula (II) within a silver halide emulsion layer: ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each an alkyl group or an aryl group; Z is a hydrogen atom or a group that can be eliminated upon coupling reaction with the oxidized product of a color developing agent); ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.3 is an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group or an amino group; R.sub.4 is an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom; s is an integer of 0 to 2, provided that when s is 2, R.sub.4 may be the same or different).

A process for forming a dye image is disclosed which comprises processing an image-wise exposed silver halide photographic emulsion with an aromatic primary amine color developing agent in the presence of bis pyrazolines obtained by reacting 3-acylamino-5-pyrazolones with para-hydroxybenzaldehydes having at least one of the ortho positions to the hydroxy group substituted with a member selected from halogen, alkyl, aryl, amino or amido groups. The invention includes the present dye forming coupler alone and combined with the silver halide emulsion layer.
