Techniques for recording and replay of a live conference while still attending the live conference are described. A conferencing system includes a user interface generator, a live conference processing module, and a replay processing module. The user interface generator is configured to generate a user interface that includes a replay control panel and one or more output panels. The live conference processing module is configured to extract information included in received conferencing data that is associated with one or more conferencing modalities, and to display the information in the one or more output panels in a live manner (e.g., as a live conference). The replay processing module is configured to enable information associated with the one or more conferencing modalities corresponding to a time of the conference session prior to live to be presented at a desired rate, possibly different from the real-time rate.

Accelerated instant replay for co-present and distributed meetings

Various methods and systems for obtaining remote shopping advice are described herein. In one example, a method includes taking two or more media representations of items to be discussed. A parameter is selected within a social shopping app for obtaining feedback on the items to be discussed. The two or more media representations are assembled into a query within the social shopping app based, at least in part, on the parameter. The query is sent to a reviewer from within the social shopping app. Feedback on the items to be discussed is received from the reviewer within the social shopping app.

A communication system provides a service provider marketplace that includes a data store storing provider data for a plurality of different service providers. A search or selection component provides user interface displays that allow users to search for and select service providers. A payment component provides a mechanism by which payment for the services can be made by the users.

In general, the immersive telepresence implementations described herein allow desired telepresence experiences of users or telepresence travel participants to be automatically matched with travel volunteers that can provide these telepresence experiences. The mobile computing devices of the travel volunteers provide audio, video and other data to the travel participant so that the travel participant can experience the sights and sounds of a desired telepresence experience (which can include location and time, as well as a desired activity) without the travel participant physically being present. The immersive telepresence implementations described herein automatically find matches between telepresence experiences on a list (e.g., bucket list) of a travel participant and one or more travel volunteers and provide for various features to provide an immersive and personalized telepresence experience for the travel participant.

Embodiments described herein relate to enabling a lightweight way of recording and sharing video messages intended to provide input to a future meeting that cannot be personally attended. A person who cannot attend the meeting pre-records their thoughts and remarks for the meeting as video clips for presentation at the meeting. A physical device with at least a display is presented at the meeting. The physically present participants can play the pre-recorded clips on the device. Video of participants' responses to the clips is recorded and made available so that the represented attendee can view the participants' responses.

Proxy for asynchronous meeting participation

A local user of a local mobile device is allowed to participate in a video conference session with a remote user of a remote mobile device. Live video can be shared between and collaboratively digitally annotated by the local and remote users. An application can also be shared between and collaboratively digitally annotated by the local and remote users. Reaction information of participants to an interaction may be sensed and analyzed to determine one or more reactions or dispositions of the participants. Feedback may be provided based on the determined reactions. The participants may be given an opportunity to opt in to having their reaction information collected, and may be provided complete control over how their reaction information is shared or used.

Detecting reactions and providing feedback to an interaction

Described are systems and user interfaces for facilitating asynchronous communication with video threads. Implementations may enable members of a team to have threaded view of video messages, from which they can capture video, record their screen, and send, receive, and reply to a video message. The screen recording feature enables team members to share parts of their screen while simultaneously narrating, if desired. Video messages are threaded by topic and each conversation is visually represented.

Gaze tracking or other interest indications are used during a video conference to determine one or more audio sources that are of interest to one or more participants to the video conference, such as by determining a conversation from among multiple conversations that a subset of participants are participating in or listening to, for enhancing the audio experience of one or more of the participants.
