Provided is a complex copper alloy including a high-entropy alloy and a method of manufacturing the same. The complex copper alloy includes a metal matrix including copper or a copper alloy and a high-entropy alloy (HEA) existing in a crystal grain of the metal matrix. A method of manufacturing the complex copper alloy is a method of manufacturing a complex copper alloy, which includes a metal matrix including copper or a copper alloy, and a high-entropy alloy (HEA) existing in a crystal grain of the metal matrix. The method includes preparing a raw material of the metal matrix and raw material of the high-entropy alloy and melting and alloying the raw material of the metal matrix and the raw material of the high-entropy alloy.

Complex copper alloy including high-entropy alloy and method of manufacturing same

A bi-continuous composite of a refractory alloy and copper, and a method for manufacturing the same, are provided. The method for manufacturing a bi-continuous composite of a refractory alloy and copper includes: providing an alloy melt swapping (AMS) precursor; providing a copper melt with a temperature in a range of 1085&#xb0; C. to 3410&#xb0; C.; immersing the AMS precursor into the copper melt; and removing the AMS precursor from the copper melt. The AMS precursor includes elements having positive and negative mixing enthalpy with copper, respectively. The AMS precursor into which the copper melt is diffused becomes a bi-continuous composite with a first phase formed from the copper and a second phase formed from the AMS precursor.

Bi-continuous composite of refractory alloy and copper and method for manufacturing the same

The present invention relates to a HEA foam prepared by selective dissolution of a second phase within a two-phase separating alloy comprising the HEA and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of the HEA foam of the present invention has the effect of preparing a novel HEA foam, which was not available in the past, by leaving only a first phase after manufacturing a two-phase separating alloy comprising a first phase by HEA, wherein at least 3 metal elements act as a common solvent. Furthermore, the HEA foam of the present invention has a structure, wherein pores are distributed inside the HEA, in which at least 3 metal elements act as a common solvent. By adding a functional characteristic of low heat conductivity, etc., to the existing high strength characteristic of HEA, the HEA foam of the present invention can exhibit a complex effect by the combination of the two particular effects, thereby being capable of exhibiting excellent physical characteristics.

High-entropy alloy foam and manufacturing method for the foam

Disclosed is an AMS process using a water-leachable alloy that reacts with water and dissolves, and a porous metal manufactured using the same. An AMS precursor including element groups that are selected in consideration of the relationship of heat of mixing with the water-leachable alloy composition to be subjected to the AMS process is immersed in the alloy melt, thus manufacturing a bi-continuous structure alloy. The bi-continuous structure alloy is subjected to dealloying using water, thus manufacturing the porous metal. The water-leachable alloy is a Ca-based alloy having high reactivity to water and high oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and a dealloying process thereof is performed using only pure water, unlike a conventional dealloying process performed using a toxic etching solution of a strong acid/strong base. The metal porous body has high elongation, a large surface area, and low thermal conductivity.

Water-leachable alloy-melt-swapping process and porous metal manufactured using the same

The present invention relates to a high entropy alloy having more improved mechanical properties by controlling contents of additive elements in a NiCoFeMnCr 5-element alloy to control stacking fault energy, thereby controlling stability of a &#x3b3; austenite phase to control a transformation mechanism, wherein the stacking fault energy is controlled in a composition range of NiCoFeMnCr(a+b+c+d+e=100, 1&#x2264;a&#x2264;50, 1&#x2264;b&#x2264;50, 1&#x2264;c&#x2264;50, 1&#x2264;d&#x2264;50, 10&#x2264;e&#x2264;25, and 77a&#x2212;42b&#x2212;22c+73d&#x2212;100e+2186&#x2264;1500), and thus, the &#x3b3; austenite phase exhibits a twin-induced plasticity (TWIP) property or a transformation induced-plasticity (TRIP) property in which the &#x3b3; austenite phase is subjected to phase transformation into an &#x3b5; martensite phase or an &#x3b1;' martensite phase, under stress, thereby having improved strength and elongation at the same time to have excellent mechanical properties.
