Provided are a perpendicular magnetic recording head and a method of manufacturing the same. The perpendicular magnetic recording head includes a main pole including a pole tip applying a recording magnetic field to a recording medium, a coil surrounding the main pole in a solenoid shape such that recording magnetic field for recording information to a recording medium is generated at the pole tip, and a return yoke forming a magnetic path for the recording magnetic field together with the main pole and surrounding a portion of the coil passing above the main pole. The number of times that the coil passes above the main pole is smaller than the number of times that the coil passes below the main pole.

Perpendicular magnetic recording head and method of manufacturing the same

A magnetic write head includes a main pole, a return yoke forming a magnetic path with the main pole, a side shield formed at both sides of the main pole, and a shield gap layer formed between the side shield and the return yoke. The side shield and the return yoke have portions connected to each, and are separated from each other by the shield gap layer in an area except for the portions which contact. A first gap layer formed of a nonmagnetic insulation material is formed between both sides of the main pole and the side shield. A gap is formed between an end portion of the main pole and an end portion of the return yoke and a second gap layer is formed in the gap with a nonmagnetic insulation material.

Provided is a vertical magnetic recording head having a main pole, a return yoke, and a coil, all of which are formed on a substrate, and a method of manufacturing the same. The main pole includes a vertical portion which is vertical to the substrate, a horizontal portion that connects a lower part of the vertical portion to the return yoke, and a main pole tip formed on the vertical portion of the main pole. The main pole tip has a conical shape vertical to the substrate.

When a side of the main pole toward the return yoke is an upper portion of the main pole and a side of the main pole opposite to the return yoke is a lower portion of the main pole, the coil includes a lower wire portion passing through the lower portion of the main pole, an upper wire portion passing through the upper portion of the main pole, and a connection portion electrically connecting the lower wire portion and the upper wire portion, and the upper wire portion includes an upper wire layer having at least two layers. The structure may improve a high frequency recording characteristics required for achieving a high recording density.

A resonator, a band-pass filter, and a duplexer are provided. In the resonator, a first electrode is formed of a nonmagnetic conductive material. A ferromagnetic fixed layer is disposed on the first electrode and has a magnetization direction which is fixed. A nonmagnetic conductive layer is disposed on the ferromagnetic fixed layer. A ferromagnetic free layer is disposed on the nonmagnetic conductive layer and has a magnetization direction which varies depending on an external magnetic field. A second electrode is disposed on the ferromagnetic free layer and comprises a nonmagnetic conductive material. The band-pass filter and the duplexer are configured using the resonator. The band-pass filter and the duplexer can operate in a high-frequency range and be miniaturized. The bandwidth of the band-pass filter and the duplexer can be adjusted and the band-pass filter and the duplexer can be formed in one body with an integrated circuit.

An integrated filter including a film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) and a surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator and a method of fabricating the integrated filter. The integrated filter includes: a substrate; a first electrode positioned in a predetermined first area on an upper surface of the substrate; a first piezoelectric layer positioned on the first electrode; a second electrode positioned on the first piezoelectric layer; a second piezoelectric layer positioned in a predetermined second area on the upper surface of the substrate; and at least one inter-digital transducer (IDT) electrode positioned on the second piezoelectric layer. The IDT electrode includes: a first IDT electrode formed in a comb structure on the second piezoelectric layer; and a second IDT electrode formed in a comb structure on the second piezoelectric layer so as to mesh with the first IDT electrode. The first and second piezoelectric layers are formed of an identical material. Thus, an integrated filter which operates in various frequency bands can be made compact.
