There is disclosed a method and system for uploading media objects unto a web platform, the method executable by a server that hosts the web platform, the server being coupled to an electronic device, the method comprising: acquiring a first media object having a first duration time and a second media object having a second duration time for uploading; queuing for upload the first media object; determining a remaining time available for publishing the second media object, the remaining time corresponding to a difference between a predetermined time limit set by the web platform and the first duration time; in response to the remaining time being below the second duration time, shortening the first media object to reduce the first duration time; in response to the second duration time being below the remaining time, publishing the first media object and the second media object as a merged media object.

Method and system for uploading media objects unto a web platform

A method of stacking tabs in a tab panel is provided. The method comprises, in a first tab associated with a first resource, receiving a request for opening a second resource; identifying whether a type of the first resource is a hub type; responsive to the type not being the hub type, identifying the type as a node type; based on the identified type, controlling presentation of the second resource by a selective execution of: (i) responsive to the first resource being of the node type, opening the second resource in the first tab; and (ii) responsive to the first resource being of the hub type, creating a second tab; opening the second resource in that tab; and stacking the second tab on the first tab. The first tab is stacked under the second tab. The first and second tabs are visually organized in a tab stack.

Method and system for controlling presentation of web resources in a browser window

System and method for operating a browsing application

A method of stacking tabs in a browser window executable by an electronic device includes, in a first tab associated with a first web resource, receiving a user request for opening a second web resource. A type of the first web resource is identified, the type being one of a hub type and a node type. Responsive to the first web resource being of the node type, the second web resource is opened in the first tab replacing the first web resource. Responsive to the first web resource being of the hub type, a second tab is created, the second web resource is opened therein, and the second tab is stacked on the first tab, the first tab being thereby stacked under the second tab. The first and second tabs are comprised in a tab stack of the browser window, the tab stack comprising a plurality of stacked tabs.
