A gyratory crusher bearing arranged for carrying a crushing head of a gyratory crusher having an inner crushing shell supported by the crushing head, and an outer crushing shell supported on a crusher frame. The gyratory crusher bearing includes a lubricant supply channel and a lubricant drainage channel. At least one of the lubricant supply channel and the lubricant drainage channel is arranged for housing a combined mounting and lubricant passage bolt holding the gyratory crusher bearing to a bearing support arranged on the crusher frame of the gyratory crusher.

A method of controlling the crushing of material in an inertia cone crusher includes the step of charging material to be crushed from a feeding hopper to a crushing chamber formed between an inner crushing shell being supported on a crushing head, and an outer crushing shell of the inertia cone crusher. An unbalance bushing, which is provided with an unbalance weight and rotatably connected to the crushing head by a drive shaft, is rotated such that a central axis of the crushing head gyrates about a gyration axis. The number of revolutions of the unbalance bushing is sensed using an rpm sensor. The number of revolutions of the unbalance bushing is controlled by a control system and the material is crushed in the crushing chamber.

Method of controlling an inertia cone crusher

A cone crusher includes an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell forming a crushing gap there between. The outer crushing shell is supported on an upper frame member in vertically adjustable engagement with a lower frame member. A sensor arrangement having a sensor element is provided for measuring the vertical position of the outer crushing shell. The cone crusher further includes a target means arranged to be detectable by the sensor element, wherein one of the target means and the sensor element are arranged to follow vertical movement of the upper frame member and to move in relation to the other one of the target means and the sensor element. The sensor element includes a vertical sensing array which extends in a vertical direction along at least a portion of a range within which the target means may be moved upon adjusting the vertical position of the upper frame member.

Cone crusher having an arrangement for measuring a position of a crushing shell

A method for at least partly emptying a crushing chamber formed between an inner crushing shell and an outer crushing shell of an inertia cone crusher is provided. The inner crushing shell is supported on a crushing head. A central axis of the crushing head gyrates about a gyration axis with an rpm, for crushing material in the crushing chamber. The method includes the steps of interrupting the feeding of material to the crusher; measuring, directly or indirectly, at least one of a position and a motion of the crushing head during an amplitude control period; comparing the measured position and/or motion with at least one set point value; determining, based on the comparison, the measured position and/or motion to at least one set point value, whether the rpm should be adjusted; and adjusting the rpm when necessary.

Method for emptying an inertia cone crusher

A method for detecting tramp material in an inertia cone crusher having an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell is provided. The inner crushing shell is supported on a crushing head. The crushing head is rotatably connected to an unbalance bushing. The unbalance bushing has an unbalance weight for tilting the unbalance bushing when it is rotated, such that the crushing head will gyrate about a gyration axis, the inner crushing shell thereby approaching the outer crushing shell for crushing material in the crushing chamber formed therebetween. The method includes the steps of measuring at least one of a position and a motion of the crushing head; obtaining, based on the measurement, a gyration value; comparing the gyration value with a gyration reference value; and determining, based on the comparison, whether to issue a tramp material warning signal indicating the presence of tramp material in the crusher.

A cone crusher includes a crushing chamber formed between inner and outer crushing shells, a drive shaft that gyrates the crushing head to crush material in the crushing chamber, and a feeding hopper for feeding material to the crushing chamber. A measurement device measures an amount of material present in the feeding hopper. A control system controls, based on the measured amount of material present in the feeding hopper, at least one crusher operating parameter which is chosen from i) an rpm of the drive shaft, and ii) a width of a discharge opening formed between the inner crushing shell and the outer crushing shell.

Method of controlling the operation of a cone crusher

A cone crusher has an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell with a crushing gap formed therebetween. The outer crushing shell is supported on an upper frame member in threaded engagement with a lower frame member. The threaded engagement is configured for adjusting the vertical position of the outer crushing shell relative to the lower frame member so as to permit adjustment of the width of the crushing gap. The upper frame member is provided with a circumferential gear ring for turning the upper frame member in the threaded engagement. The gear ring is connected to the upper frame member in a rotationally locked and vertically slidable manner The cone crusher includes a clamping arrangement for vertically clamping the gear ring between an upper clamping member and a lower clamping member.

An inertia cone crusher, including an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell forming between them a crushing chamber, the inner crushing shell being supported on a crushing head which is attached on a crushing shaft which is rotatable in a sleeve, an unbalance weight being attached to the sleeve, a vertical drive shaft being connected to the sleeve for rotating the sleeve, the drive shaft being supported by a drive shaft bearing, and a first counterbalance weight and a second counterbalance weight, the first counterbalance weight being attached to the drive shaft in a position located below the drive shaft bearing, the second counterbalance weight being attached to the drive shaft in a position located above the drive shaft bearing.

Cone crusher

A gyratory crusher, including an outer crushing shell and an inner crushing shell forming between them a crushing chamber, the crushing chamber communicating with a discharge zone that forwards crushed material from the crushing chamber and out of the crusher. The inner crushing shell is supported on a crushing head. The outer crushing shell is supported on a crusher frame. At least one sealing arrangement is between the discharge zone and a working part zone in which at least one bearing for the crushing head to perform a gyratory movement relative to the crusher frame is arranged. The sealing arrangement includes a sealing surface, and a sealing member arranged to seal against the sealing surface and including an inner circumferential flexible sealing lip, an outer circumferential flexible sealing lip and at least one inlet for pressurized fluid to be supplied to an overpressure zone arranged between the inner and outer sealing lips and the sealing surface. One of the sealing member and the sealing surface is arranged in connection to the crushing head, and the other of the sealing member and the sealing surface is arranged in connection to the crusher frame.
