A process for manufacturing a bag from a polymer and/or metal film material provides a bag that has four outer walls connected by four seams and that has a sealed lower end. The bag-forming material is fed in the form of a film web that is wound up on a roll to an unwinding station of a bottom forming device that separates the unwound film web into film segments, connects the film segments, and seals at least one end of the connected segments to form the bag.

Method for the production of bags

For the production of loop handle shopping bags based on semi-tube sheeting consisting of thermoplastic plastic, an edge strip of the semi-tube sheeting is folded onto itself and reinforcement warps, consisting of a weld-friendly thermoplastic plastic that provides a good weld, are attached on the interior sides of the edge areas by means of glueing or welding at a distance corresponding to the width of the shopping bags to be produced. Subsequently, the edge strip is folded back so that the added reinforcement warps are positioned back-to-back. Double-layer handle strips are positioned in a U-shape and placed between the reinforcement warps with their end areas of the free shanks, and welded together with the edge areas through the reinforcement warps between welding devices. The shopping bags are then separated from the semi-tube sheeting by means of separating weld seams.

Method for producing loop handle shopping bags

The invention relates to a device for filling and sealing sacks, which are open on one side and are provided preferably with side folds. Said device comprises a filling station, which exhibits a filling pipe and serves the purpose of filling sacks; comprises various grippers for transporting away the empty sacks; holding the sacks in the filling station and transporting away the filled sacks, and comprises a conveyor belt, which starts below the filling station and serves the purpose of bracing and carrying away the filled sacks. Said conveyor belt exhibits at least one stand that revolves around two deflecting rollers. According to the invention, the conveyor belt in the region below the filling station can be lowered and raised again by swivelling the deflecting roller. Below the carrying run of the conveyor belt there is an additional vibrator in the region of the filling station.

Device for filling and sealing sacks

A sack or bag is made of a collapsed, thermoplastic tubular film segment, which is provided preferably with side folds, by affixing head and foot welds and is provided on at least its head side with corner-partitioning corner welds. In order to be able to reseal such a sack after a partial quantity has been removed from its filling, the corners are provided in such a manner with cutouts, starting from the face-sided cutting edge, that the results are side strips, whose outer ends are provided with redetachable connecting means and that are designed so long that they can be folded in the outward direction by folding diagonally over the side edges of the sack or bag. After formation of a sack-sealing roll, the connecting means can be connected together for the purpose of fixing the roll in position.

Resealable sack or bag

The invention relates to device for manufacturing, filling and sealing thermoplastic sacks that are open on one side. Said device comprises a first welding and severing station for forming the sack with a bottom weld, a filling station and a second welding station for sealing the sack and comprises a first pair of gripping pliers as the pair of transport gripping pliers for accepting the sack at the first welding station; a second pair of gripping pliers that are arranged stationarily at the filling station; and a third pair of gripping pliers as the pair of transport gripping pliers that transport the sack from the filling station to the second welding station. The invention provides a fourth pair of gripping pliers as the pair of transport gripping pliers that accepts the sack from the first pair of transport gripping pliers through the in-line arrangement of a stationary pair of gripping pliers and delivers to the pair of gripping pliers, which are arranged stationarily at the filling station. Said fourth pair of gripping pliers assumes a delivery position to deliver the sack to the pair of gripping pliers that is arranged stationarily at the filling station and that lies in a plane that is higher by a distance (x) than its acceptance position for the sack.

Device for manufacturing, filling and sealing sacks

A filling device for bulk materials includes a filling hopper, a housing surrounding an open end of the filling hopper and two hopper outlet doors which are pivoted in the the housing. In order to achieve the object of further developing the filling hopper so as to enable loss-free operation to take place, the filling hopper or, respectively, a casing surrounding the same has an external encircling section. Furthermore rubber sealing strips are provided on the hopper outlet doors, which come into sealing engagement with the encircling section when the hopper outlet doors are moved by a control system into the open position thereof.

Filling device

The invention relates to a method for making, filling and sealing sacks from a tubular film web of thermoplastic material preferably provided with side folds and printed in format print, where the leading end of the tubular film web is each provided with a transverse weld, and from the tubular film web a section constituting an open sack is cut off, and where the sack is then filled and the open end of the sack is sealed by a transverse weld. For the solution of the object to provide a method of this kind, where it is ensured that the filled sacks are always filled tight and full, it is provided that corresponding to the filling level of the sack the length of the formed tubular film web sections is varied, that after making the transverse weld sealing the sack the tubular film web is intermittently advanced up to a printed mark, that the section constituting the sack is cut off by means of a separating cut without at the same time forming the transverse weld sealing the tube section, that the succeeding tubular film web is again advanced by a comparatively short adjustable length, that alternatively the advanced section of the tubular film web is cut off again, and that the transverse weld sealing the succeeding tube section is formed.

Method for making, filling and sealing sacks

A method for repetitively making, filling and sealing sacks from a tubular web of thermoplastic material preferably provided with side folds, wherein, for each sack, the leading end of the tubular web is provided with a transverse weld, and from the tubular web a section constituting an open sack is cut off, and where the sack is then filled and the open side of the sack is closed by means of a transverse weld. To ensure that the filled sacks are always filled tight and full, during the filling of the sack, there is detected by means of a measurement pick-up to what level the sack is filled when filling with a certain quantity of filling material, and that in accordance with the filling level of the sack the length of the tubular web section forming the sack is adjusted.

Method for making, filling, and sealing sacks

The invention relates to a method for the manufacture, filling and sealing of bags starting with a flat web of tubular foil preferably provided with side folds of thermoplastic synthetic resin in the case of which the respectively leading end of the tubular foil web is provided with a transverse weld seam and then a section in the form of an open bag is severed from the tubular foil web and wherein the bag is then filled and the open end of the bag is drawn taut and closed by means of a transverse weld. In order to achieve the aim of providing a method and an apparatus of the type initially mentioned with which bags may be produced, filled and sealed with a simple mechanical system after the production of the terminal transverse weld the tubular foil web is fed by the length of a section through the opened welding jaws of the welding station and the bag formed in this manner is gripped laterally by a pair of grippers and at a higher level than the pairs of grippers is severed from the tubular foil web using a transverse severing cut. The bag held by the pairs of grippers on the two sides of its open end lower down than the edge of the opening is conveyed by the pair of grippers into the filling station, wherein for opening the bag the grippers are moved towards each other. The pairs of grippers pull taut the edges of the opening of the bag after the same has been filled and return the same into the welding station, in which the ends of the opening of the bag, which project beyond the pair of grippers, are connected together by a head weld. The invention furthermore relates to an apparatus for performing the said method.

Method and an apparatus for producing, filling and sealing bags

An apparatus for filling sacks is disclosed which has opposed clamps for engaging the initially collapsed sacks adjacent to the side portions of their opening-defining edges, suction devices included in the clamps, which engage mutually opposite side walls of the sacks adjacent to their opening-defining edges and pull said side walls apart, and a filling pipe. The carriers for the suction devices are provided each on each side of the sack at least below the suction device or suction devices with a transversely extending bar, which is made of elastomeric material and urges the pulled apart edge portions of the sacks into sealing contact with the side walls of the filling funnel.

Apparatus for filling sacks

An apparatus is disclosed for making bags or sacks from a continuous tubular film of thermoplastic material. The continuous tubular film is moved intermittently in a downward direction to a welding device, a cutter below the welding device, and a turret-like rotary conveyor below the cutter. A bag length is received by grippers on the rotary conveyor before it is welded and cut. When thus received the bag length is welded and cut, and the conveyor indexed by one step to present succeeding grippers to the tube. The tube is then advanced another bag length so that the succeeding bag is received in the succeeding pair of grippers. The process is repeated with succeeding bags. The bags on the conveyor are successively delivered to a transfer station where the grippers are opened to release the bags.

Apparatus for making bags or sacks from a preferably gusseted continuous

An apparatus for filling and closing sacks has a pair of grippers for gripping the lateral portions of the sacks adjacent to their opening-defining edges, the grippers of each pair are movable toward and away from each other, also a pair of suction cups for pulling the side walls of the sacks apart adjacent to the opening-defining edges between the grippers, a filling pipe, which is adapted to be lowered into and to be lifted out of the opened sacks, and a welding device for forming a transverse seam weld to close the opening-defining edges when they have been pulled taut by a movement of the grippers away from each other. A transfer conveyor is provided for conveying freely suspended sacks into the region below the filling pipe, pivoted arms are connected to a turning drive carry the grippers and serve to take over the sacks in a position in which the sacks are substantially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the filling pipe, the turning drive pivotally moves the filled sacks in the feeding direction beyond the filling pipe into the welding station and deposits the sacks on a support in the welding station. In the welding station opening-defining edge portions are provided by the welding jaws of the welding device with a transverse seam weld closing the sacks, and the turning drive subsequently imparts to the pivoted arms a pivotal movement to their filling position below the filling pipe so that they can take over and hold the next sack.

Apparatus for filling and closing sacks which are open at one end

Apparatus for closing filled sacks, which have been transferred from a filling station to a take-over station and a closing station by a conveyor comprising a gripper, which like pliers grips the flattened lips of the filled sacks. A pair of gripping rollers, which are rotatable about axes which are at right angles to the main axis of the sack, take-over the sacks at the take-over station with the lips protruding. The apparatus also comprises a welding or sewing machine to act on the protruding lips to form a seam for closing the filled sacks. At least one of the gripping rollers is rotated as the filled sacks are conveyed to the closing machine to force the lips to protrude sufficiently to facilitate making the closing seam.

Apparatus for closing filled sacks

Apparatus for aligning a sack disposed at the leading end of a series of shingled sacks, which have been unwound from a roll of shingled sacks and which have openings at their leading ends. The sack is aligned by transversely spaced gripping rollers that are operable to align the leading edge of a sack for proper orientation prior to transfer of the sack to a filling apparatus. An intermittently driven conveyor belt conveys the unwound series of shingled sacks as they are unwound from a roll. At least one pressure-applying roller is disposed above the conveyor belt and acts on the leading sack of the series of shingled sacks and cooperates with a backing roller, which is adapted to be driven, and optional pressure-applying elements, which are adapted to be lowered onto the next following sack.

Apparatus for aligning an opening of a sack

A sack comprises an inner container and a double-ply outer container which latter comprises a tubular or essentially tubular section of which the opposed severed edges are interconnected by a seam. Alternatively, the outer container comprises two such sections having their severed edges interconnected by respective seams.
