An arrangement for marking articles or workpieces, particularly hot workpieces, such as coils of sheet metal with series of symbols which are individually applied in templates. The latter are in the form of symbols applied in a cylindrical portion and in a flange-like portion of a movable angle ring which is adjustable vertically and sideways. A spray nozzle is associated with each of the portions. The angle ring is connected to a trunnion fixed in an arm which is adjustable vertically and sideways by piston-cylinder units. One piston-cylinder unit is centered in a frame which is movable on a track by driven wheels, and the piston of this unit mounts a lifting table. Another piston-cylinder unit is connected to the aforementioned arm. One vertical spray nozzle is located above the flange-like portion of the angle ring on the outer end of the arm. A horizontal spray nozzle, furthermore, is located on the lower end of the trunnion, tiltable about a horizontal axis, inside the cylindrical portion of the angle ring. The spray nozzles are immersible by the piston-cylinder unit, in basins filled with paint solvents.

A device for preparing metal sheets for transport wherein the sheets are delivered on a conveyor belt from a shearing region to a stacking region in which the sheets are engaged from above at the discharge end of the conveyor belt and transported longitudinally and deposited on selected ones of tables to build up stacks of sheets. The stacks of sheets are moved laterally by lateral movement of the tables or by laterally extending chains to a lifting station wherein the stacks of sheets are engaged from above by cranes and conveyed thereby to a binding station for binding of the stacks of sheets.

An arrangement for stacking sheet metal packets to form packet stacks which comprises a transfer device arranged above stacking tables adapted to be lifted and lowered and equipped with sheet metal packet pliers likewise adapted to be lifted and lowered. The arrangement furthermore comprises a roller bed arranged in front of or between the stacking tables and the transfer device. The transfer device or the roller bed are movable in the longitudinal direction thereof.

Arrangement for stacking sheet metal packets to form packet stacks

For use in connection with an underground reel in a rolling mill for band-shaped rolling stock, a two-roll driving device, with an upper driving roll and a lower driving roll which are arranged one above the other. When looking in the direction in which the rolling stock enters the reel, the axle of the upper driving roll is during the entry of the start of the rolling stock into the reel located behind the axle of the lower driving roll and after the start of the band-shaped rolling stock has been grasped by the winding mandrel of the reel the upper driving roll is pivotable into a position vertically above the axle of the lower driving roll, while behind the lower driving roll there is provided a deviating device for the band-shaped rolling stock. The upper driving roll is journalled in a stand which is pivotable about the axis of the lower driving roll and adjustable relative to the latter. A frame supporting the pivotable stand has arranged thereon a horizontally displaceable deviating flap which is movably connected to the stand.

Two-roller driving device

An intake device for a band rolling mill, which includes an upper driving roller and a lower driving roller adjustable relative to each other and forming with each other a bite into which the band to be rolled is fed by the driven rollers of a lower roller bed and the driven rollers of an upper roller bed while both roller beds form with each other a wedge-shaped feeding funnel pointing toward the bite formed by the upper and lower driving rollers. The angle which the upper and lower roller beds form with each other is variable at will.

Intake device for a band rolling mill

A reel system, especially for rolling up strip steel, in which a rotatable housing is provided which has two circumferentially spaced spindles extending therefrom parallel to the axis of the housing, a gear in the housing is provided for each spindle and each spindle can be clutched to the housing or to the respective gear. A motor on the outside of the housing drives a gear meshing with the first mentioned gears while a ring gear on the housing meshes with a motor driven pinion for rotation of the housing. The housing carries clamp arms actuatable for clamping a wound up reel on each spindle. The arrangement permits each spindle to be positioned selectively in reeling up position for winding up a reel while the other spindle is positioned for discharging a reel previously wound up thereon.
