A connection assembly of a connector comprises a connection housing, a locking element and a position assurance device. The connection housing is interconnectable with a counter connection housing along a connection axis. The locking element is movable between a locking position fixing the counter connection housing to the connection housing, and a release position releasing the counter connection housing from the connection housing. The position assurance device movable between a disconnection position, in which the position assurance device permits movement of the locking element from the locking position to the release position, and a blocking position, in which the position assurance device fixes the locking element in the locking position. The position assurance device is rotated about the connection axis on the connection housing when moving between the disconnection position and the blocking position.

Connection assembly and connector with rotatable position assurance

A connector housing for an electrical connector includes a first housing having a plurality of electrical terminals and a second housing pluggable with the first housing in a translational manner. The second housing has a single secondary locking projection indirectly or directly locking at least two of the electrical terminals of the first housing in a secondary locking manner.

Connector housing and electrical connector

An electrical connector element having at least one contact receiving member for an electrical contact element which can be inserted in an insertion direction (E) as far as its end position (F) into the at least one contact receiving member, having a locking member by means of which the contact element in its locking position (L) can be secured in the end position (F) against being removed from the at least one contact receiving member counter to the insertion direction (E), and having a securing member which retains the locking member in the locking position (L) in its securing position (B). In order to better secure the contact elements against being removed from the contact receiving members, there is provision according to the invention for the securing member in the securing position (B) to at least partially protrude into the at least one contact receiving member and consequently for the contact element to be able to be additionally secured against being removed from the at least one contact receiving member counter to the insertion direction (E).

Connector element having second contact securing means

An electrical plug connector includes a first housing and a second housing. The first housing includes first electrical contacts arranged in first and second contact zones. The second housing includes second electrical contacts arranged in first and second contact holders. The second contact holder is displaceable with respect to the second housing in a direction of mating when the first and second housings are mated. The second contact holder is displaceable between a first position where the second electrical contacts of the second contact holder mechanically engage the first electrical contacts and a subsequent second position where the second electrical contacts of the first contact holder mechanically engage the first electrical contacts.

Electrical plug connector

A connector housing and a process for making same, in which the connector housing comprises a base part and a pivoting part, attached to the base part and made in one piece with the base part. The pivoting part has at least one surface delimiting an insertion opening in the connector housing through which a pin contact may be inserted into a socket contact in the connector housing. The connector housing being injection molded, with the pivoting part located in an open position, providing sufficient space for the molds for shaping a latching hook. After the mold has been removed, the pivoting part is moved into a closed position in which the delimiting surface of the pivoting part is moved towards the insertion opening. The connector housing cures with the pivoting part in the closed position. The socket contact is held in a contact chamber by a latching hook.

Contact housing and process for making a contact housing

A plug connector arrangement has a socket housing with receptacle contacts and a plug housing with pluggable contacts. To make an electrical connection between the receptacle contacts and the pluggable contacts, at least one of the housings is movable so that it can be pushed together with the other housing. At least one actuation slide means is mounted on the movable housing and is displaceable in a direction transverse to a direction of movement of the moveable housing. The actuation slide means has at least one control element that co-operates with at least one control means arranged on the other housing such that the movable housing is actuated toward the other housing when the actuation slide means is displaced. The actuation slide means has at least one latching device that co-operates with at least one corresponding latching element on the fixed housing to hold the moveable housing in position relative to the fixed housing before actuation.
