A transport bag () for transporting and/or storing articles comprises a front wall () and a back wall () that are flexibly connected to one another via a bottom section () so as to be movable back and forth between a first configuration in which the front wall and back wall form an upwardly open bag that can be filled from above, and a second configuration in which the front wall and back wall lie closely alongside one another and form a bag that is folded together, wherein the back wall () is extended upward above and beyond the height of the front wall () with a support section () for fastening the transport bag () to a transport device (). Easy filling and emptying of the transport bag () is achieved by providing an opening () that automatically brings the transport bag () into the first configuration and keeps the transport bag there, and allows a deliberate shift from the first configuration into the second configuration.

The invention relates to an apparatus for aligning a sheet product conveyed on a conveying surface of a conveyor system in a direction of conveyance at a conveying velocity, which product has on its side facing away from the conveying surface an at least partially exposed surface. The apparatus has an alignment unit, which is arranged above the conveying surface and which is intended to change the situation of the product with respect to the conveying surface by means of a force acting upon the exposed surface. The alignment unit has a self-contained, flexible force transmission member, which, on that side of the alignment unit which is facing toward the conveying surface, forms a sagging strand, which latter is intended to rest with a portion on the at least partially exposed surface of the product and thus subject said product to the force.

A method and a device for the conveyance of planar products ('), in particular printed products, are provided wherein a product group () composed of at least two products (&#x2032;) is gripped by a gripper () in the area of a product edge (&#x2032;) and conveyed in a direction of conveyance (F). At least one of the products (&#x2032;) is displaced relative to the other product or products (&#x2032;) in the product group () in a direction of displacement (A) defined by the gripped product edge (&#x2032;), such that in each case a projection () is formed in the direction of displacement (A). Thus a first projection () is associated with at least one displaced product (&#x2032;) and a second projection () is associated with the remaining product or products (&#x2032;) of the product group (). Thus, it is easy to increase the carrying capacity of a gripper conveyor and, when applicable, to easily separate the products that are gripped in groups.

For separating flat articles from a lying stack of articles, each foremost article of the stack is conveyed away one after the other in an upwards direction. For making such separation applicable also for mechanically relatively unstable articles, a preparatory step is implemented prior to the step of conveying-away upwards. In this preparatory step each foremost article of the stack is gripped, then separated from the front end of the stack in a direction essentially perpendicular to the main surfaces of the stacked articles and simultaneously or immediately afterwards accelerated upwards. Only when the article has a speed component in upwards direction of approximately the order of magnitude of the conveying-away speed is the article transferred to the conveying-away means. The preparatory step is carried out with a suction device that moves on a suction device track.

A gripper for holding and conveying flat objects (P) in a firmly held manner, in particular printed material such as newspapers, magazines or brochures, includes two clamping tongues (and) which can pivot relative to one another into an open and into a closed configuration, wherein the clamping tongues (and) are pressed against one another in the closed configuration. The distal ends of at least one of the clamping tongues (and) are fitted with two elastic arms () that extend laterally away from the clamping tongue, in the same direction as the clamping force, a clamping jaw () being arranged at the free end of each of the arms. The contact surfaces of the clamping jaws of at least one clamping tongue adapt to fit the contact surface of an opposite clamping jaw or a clamped object, under compression force, for example, they are mounted on the arm () by means of a ball joint.
