The present invention relates to liquid herbicidal agents in the form of emulsifiable concentrates (EC) or concentrated emulsions (EW), which, in addition to 1-40% by weight of the active compound diclofop-methyl (I), fenoxaprop-ethyl (II) or the optically active isomer (D+) thereof fenoxaprop-P-ethyl (III), contain, as surfactants, 0.5-30% by weight of (C.sub.10 -C.sub.18)-fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers or (C.sub.8 -C.sub.9)-alkylphenyl polyglycol ethers which are ethoxylated with 6-10 mol of ethylene oxide, and in the case of EC formulations 0.5-7% by weight of calcium (C.sub.8 -C.sub.14)-alkylbenzenesulfonate, and in the case of EW formulations, as a dispersing agent, 0.5-7% by weight of an ethylene oxide-propylene oxide-ethylene oxide block copolymer phosphorylated in the alpha- and omega-position, or a salt thereof, in addition to the customary formulation constituents. Compared with the known active compound formulations, these have significantly increased activities and improved mixing properties with water and other commercially available preparations containing active compounds.

Liquid herbicidal agents

Granules can be prepared from powders of active compounds by the counter-current principle by fluidization in a stream of air and spraying of a solution of adhesive. Dispersions or solutions of active compounds can be granulated in accordance with the invention if the aqueous dispersion or solution is sprayed by the counter-current principle into the gas stream of a fluidizing chamber and is caused to fluidize, the formation of granules being started, in a start-up phase, at 10 to 60% of the maximum gas flow and at only up to 30% of the maximum feed rate of dispersion or solution, and subsequently the feed rate and the gas flow are increased up to the maximum values for the feed rate and the gas flow, and, in the main phase, the formation of granules is continued at maximum gas flow and maximum feed rate. Granules prepared in this way, containing pesticides as the active compounds, can be used as plant protection agents or pest control agents.

Process for the preparation of water-dispersible granules

Novel water-dispersible granules of plant protection agents, in particular of herbicides and growth regulators, are obtained when a dispersion or solution in water of 10 to 90% by weight of active substance with 10 to 90% by weight of solid wetting agents from the group containing of alkanesulfonates, alkylsulfonates, alkylnaphthalenesulfonates, alkylbenzenesulfonates, long-chain olefinsulfonates, alkyl polyol ether sulfonates, alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl ether phosphates, alkylsulfosuccinic monoesters, fatty acid isethionates and fatty acid N-methyltaurides, or of an ammonium salt, or of a mixture of an ammonium salt and one or more of the above solid wetting agents, and 0 to 50% by weight of customary formulation agents is prepared and the dispersion or solution is granulated using the cocurrent or counter-current process.

Concentrated aqueous microemulsions

Aqueous pesticidal agents based on active substance-containing dispersions in combination with water-soluble active substances, which agents contain at least 3 active substances, at least 2 of which are present in the disperse form and at least 1 of which is water-soluble, and contain alkyl ether sulfates combined with ethoxylated fatty alcohols and sulfosuccinic monoesters as surfactants, have a broad range of applications and advantageous properties in use.

Liquid herbicidal mixed formulations

The invention relates to plant-protection agents which contain one or more active ingredients and which are based on suspoemulsions containing aqueous and organic phases, where the organic phase contains one or more surfactants from the group comprising the ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block polymers having an average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000. The suspoemulsions are subjected to large shear forces. Even thereafter, they exhibit a constant viscosity behavior, in spite of a large number of droplets and a low droplet size.

The present application describes herbicidal agents, based on emulsions, which contain two or more active compounds - a water-soluble, salt-like active compound and an active compound which is soluble in organic solvents - a surfactant mixture and a solvent, the surfactant mixture comprising a combination of phenylsulfonate salts, ethoxylated alkyl- (or polyaryl)phenol phosphates, ethoxylated acidic phohsphoric acid esters and alkylphenol polyglycol ether derivatives. These agents are prepared by the action of high shear forces.

Herbicidal emulsions

Subject of the invention are liquid pesticidal compositions in the form of aqueous suspension concentrates, which in addition to the active substance or mixture of active substances contain an alkali metal salt of sulfosuccinic acid semiester prepared by reaction of a polyglycol ether of a condensation product of (C.sub.8 -C.sub.12)-alkylphenol and formaldehyde with maleic anhydride and an alkali metal sulfite, in combination with a mixture of an alkali metal salt of a ligninsulfonic acid and identical parts of a swelling alkaline earth metal silicate.
